I find it amazing how many times a player can lose in a row to the same strategy.

Yellow, Stork, Savior, etc. You find it amazing because you aren't losing anything backseat gaming but when people are pressured, they either react erratically or tend to go towards builds they are familiar with. Its part of the game to push players into making these unforced errors.
