The record equalizing 6th title has not much of a meaning to Flash so he can go into the match relaxed. That doesn't mean the record has no meaning to him though, he just says he has so much time left as a progamer that he will eventually win a 6th title anyway. He also says he is very confident even though he had to leak his tactics in the semis against Hydra because of his high skill level and because Zero will be nervous. He says he isn't scared of Zero's Queens but was obviously not very open about his countermeasures or if he even has any.
Flash complains that he can't find any good practice partners and has to practice with the lowly skilled CrazyHydra and Action (though he worded it much much much nicer) while Zero gives hints that his practice partner is very much on top of the progaming world. Because of some hints the authors think it is Fantasy.
Isn't Flash friends with Jaedong? I mean it might be odd for JD to help Flash win a finals but he was knocked out by Zero so it would make sense to help Flash.

Also lol are you just saying that because Jaedong lost to Zero? Because calling losing to Flash stupid is laughable.
Daniel Lee please edit your translations T.T If you are gonna make a huge scene, you could at least do it properly. The pressure is on you to do a good job especially in the first few weeks.
Fans are worried about your bad wrist. How is it. ▶ It’s ok for now. I’ve been taking good care of it, so it shouldn’t affect my games. I guarantee you that I will play at the highest level. If I lose, that is because ‘Zero’ played better, that’s the only way he can beat me.
Classy answer by Flash. I think we've all over-hyped the wrist issue too much since Flash's last interview. Zero's gonna crush him fair and square!

Both Flash and Zero sound confident in their interviews.
Yeah, but Fantasy already helped Flash out once in MSL for his match against Leta. I think Fantasy is just a nice dood =)

Practice with Fanta is good but IMHO it's for ZerO just like practice with, what, himself playing Terran?! lol. I think practice with Light is far more useful.
- Are you going to use the Queen unit ▶ Depending on the in-game situation, I may or may not use it. I saw a webtoon about how to fight against Queens, ‘Flash’s character used bionic units against queens. I’m thinking ‘Flash’ just might do that in a real game. If anyone out there is curious about that play, I think it’d be a good idea for everyone to come out and see it for themselves.
I really thought about the possibility that ZerO will use Queens against M&M. D_so in my thread about MSL Finals Hype said the same thought... nice coincidence. Maybe it's just ZerO trolololling everyone and he actually going to use Queens vs. M&M? But omg one must have the giant balls to do such a thing in a league final. O_o
Can't wait what he shows to us. Though the thing I want him to show the most is OMFG DO NOT DIE TO 9 MIN (or to a bunker) PUSH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T
please please please don't don't don't don't die to it please
I really want him not to die to something like this X_X I know it's Flash and it's finals, and there - Flash liiiikes to do these things and kill opponent quickly. But omfg ZerO please hold.
If Fantasy is helping Zero with practise, then he's a backstabbing traitor. He's supposed to be a really good friend with Flash. Besides, I don't know why Zero would practise with Fantasy rather than Light...
And I'm really disappointed to hear Flash isn't practising hardcore with JD. Wtf...

Don't worry, it's Jaedong Unlike Fantasy, he can play bio ^_^
man, I really liked zero's response to the "flash has 5 titles" question: + Show Spoiler +
That has nothing to do with me and it’s not relavant in terms affecting tomorrow’s games. I don’t feel any more pressure because of that. Actually I didn’t know until now that he’s attained 5 individual titles. I heard that if I hadn’t beat Jaedong it would’ve been his 10th time in the finals. Like what I did to ‘Jaedong’, I will also do to ‘Flash’. I will not be deterred by his achievements, I will only concentrate on my plays.
I'm surprised by how cool/confident he seems overall. It's his first final and it's against arguably the best tvz'er to ever enter the scene. Then again, I've never really seen zero tilt hard due to nerves so I really think this confidence will show in the actual games.
Usually....When you have 2 very confident players duece it out, most of the time, the result will be great. Looking forward to this final. I'll stay up late (2 AM) to watch this final, eventhough I have to work at 7 AM.
Well, from looking at his remarks, it’s fair to assume that ‘Zero’s practicing partner is ‘Fantasy’. ‘Fantasy’ is a former starleague champion who also held the Kespa’s no.1 spot in the past. His plays also resembles ‘Flash’s, so currently he is the strongest candidate for ‘Zero’ as a sparring partner.
Is it possible that there was some kind of translating error when Flash talked about his wrist problem being "not entirely curable anymore"?
He doesn't seem to worry about it too much and iirc the "incurable" interview was in Chinese right? Korean => Chinese => English might have mixed something up a bit. Anyways, I can only hope that it's not as serious as it sounded back then.
Great interviews by both players, both of them actually really made me laugh at one point =)

I think they were in the same clan before becoming progamers. I know for sure it was by.Flash, I believe it was by.fantasy too, right?

He's trying to make flash think he'll broodling the bio ball, when in fact he'll ENSNARE the bio ball

oh shoot.
edit: too ninja. actually not really considering it was 19 minutes lol
"I guarantee you that I will play at the highest level"
This basically means that we'll see the highest level the terran race can be played on. After so many years finally this one guy plays a race perfectly, the way a perfect computer would play it. No opponent can win. Flash 3-0

Why he would practice with Fanta is beyond me. Light has a very strong TvZ, especially his Bio, so Zero should get some good practice against it. Zero is a solid player - let's hope nerves don't get the better of him and we get 5 solid games.

i dont think it's either light or fantasy. i feel it's sea or more likely, baby.
I think if hes practicing with fantasy thats the wrong choice. Fantasy can't play bio at all and flash is bound to go bio at least one game. If zero was really smart he'd be better off practicing with light and sea and baby. Was good to see that they mentioned he was working with soulkey because soulkey is a good player as well. Note: Im pretty sure flash mentioned proleague overlaps as a problem to getting practice partners :| Probably is why he wasn't able to get jaedong or any other top level zerg not on woongjin.

Fantasy is probably the undisputed #2 terran right now, so it would be surprising if he was referring to Sea or Baby.
Honestly, I think the whole practice partner thing is not that useful to look at. In Proleague, players only practice with their teammates and who are the two most successful PL players? Flash and Jaedong (and Bisu). Progamers are progamers and I think even B-teamers have enough skill to provide adequate practice. How many times have we seen Jaedong thank Bee for helping him practice after beating Flash? It really doesn't matter.
I really like Zero's play right now, but seriously? Flash looks near invincible right now, and Zero is deluding himself if he thinks Fantasy is a good preparation for Flash's bio controll

There's a trend though: bonjwa's face overwhelming upset possibilities (i.e. savior>oov, bisu>savior)

True, but do you think Zero can pull off a Savior/Bisu level upset? I mean he's good, and a very likable progamer, but I have to still give a 3-0 or 3-1 to flash. If it goes to game 5, though, I think it's anyone's MSL.
Also, even if flash wins, I just realized that NaDa still has hella more titles. I was just looking up NaDa's page on liquipedia and just kept scrooooooolling down the achievements list...lawl.

A) TvZ is his only weakness B) Fanta and Flash are from the same clan and apparently very good friends, unless this was some double agent shit going on

Pros don't really care and have no allegiance if they are practicing for Individual leagues. Almost any A level pro will practice with any other pro if they request it when they have a big match coming up.

savior>oov and bisu>savior were way more extreme upsets. No one was even playing with the idea of bisu 3-0'ing let alone beating the maestro then. Savior seemed more invincible than flash seems now, and bisu was less experienced than zero is now.

Delusion is the only way to maintain the perseverence needed for success.
▶As of now I am only thinking about the games. I am not thinking about setting records, I am just thinking about the word ‘winner’. Despite all the talks surrounding my games in regards to setting records, I am not at all bothered by it. Even if I don’t attain the title this time, I still have many years left in me as a progamer so I will approach the games with a peaceful mind. I will relish the moment.
Shark: the first 15 minutes will be very important, and for Zero to have a chance, it would be of utmost significance for Zero to match Flash’s breakneck tempo and secure 4 gas expansions.
This is so true. If Zero crumbles here, the chances of him winning will go dramatically lower.

I was having the urge to spit out "SC2 f**" until i realized i am being trolled.
....I am being trolled, right?
I feel the same way, especially the way some people have been talking in the stream chat for BW lately. I think the worst thing I heard from sc2 newbies is "which one is flash? Is he the fat one?" During Flash/Hydra. At least they're giving the better game a shot .
On June 11 2011 09:33 Kralic wrote: Effort beat Flash quite easily in the OSL final, ZerO has just as good of a chance to do the same.
While a 3-2 comeback from 0-2 is impressive, that is HARDLY "quite easily". It was Flash's series to lose and he sure did. I don't think it was much from EffOrt that got the win.
Why is Zero practicing with fantasy (if that really is the case) when fanta can't use bio, and flash will probably go bio in all of the games versus Zero. Also Zero relying that never winning from the lottery will bring him luck in the finals is kinda redundant too.
Also props to Flash for these comments:

Oh sick, if ZerO's actually been practicing with Fantasy, that'll be a great help to him in conjunction with Light! I'm sure Flash has been playing with JD, but with Zero supposedly having practice with Fantasy, this will give him a great chance at beating God :D
