This is translated from french so plz excuse my very bad english ^_^.
I found this interview on http://www.rush-time.net ( one of the best french RTS sites ) It was done by Aleph, thx to him.
Aleph : Ok i won't introduce you in details Bertrand Grospellier 24, professional gamer in korea if i'm right. You are currently leaving broodwar. Is it for poker or for another reason ?
Elky : In fact there is many reasons, i'm a progamer for more than 3 yrs now and my motivation isn't really the sameas before, it has become impossible to train enough to stay at top level, i'd rather spend my time in a diffrent way. And honestly poker is a much more lucrative hobby and in a way is like a new challenge for me.
Aleph : Much more lucrative for a player of your skill level isn't it ? You do not worry about the danger of becoming gambling-addicted ?
Elky : No, i'm a natural born gamer [ i coun't find better translation for "un joueur dans l'âme", litteraly it is " a gamer in the soul " ] so it's not a problem for me.
Aleph : Ok then good luck, you already have a prize-list/carreer in poker ?
Elky : Not much for the moment exept "Pokerstar progamer challenge" [http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=22550] but i hope i can make my prize-list bigger in february and march as i will compete at the EPT in France and Austria.
Aleph : goodluck for this So how will things be going for you now ? Will you stay in Korea ?
Elky : For the moment yes, AMD wants to make a new contract with me for exibitions and events but i'm planning on traveling a lot.
Aleph : Wow that's a nice deal they are offering you , you will have a good time :D. So in fact you are saying goodbye to the Broodwar community. What were the best moments you remember about your progaming carrier ?
Elky : my 2nd place at WCG 2001 and the final vs Boxer and all my starleague appearances will definitely be my best memories. I thank all the french broodwar community for it's support all along my career.
Aleph : I think it has supported you well even if we miss you since you went to korea ^^. Last important question for Kenshin, Aspeak, Bundy , IIIce and Kymzen : will you play WCG 2005 ?
Elky : I think i will.
Aleph : They will be dissapointed It was quick but full of info. Any shoutouts or a few words to conclude ?
Elky : I would like to say that Starcraft is a great game which has given me a lot and i will keep my passion for sc. I hope i have represented france the best way i could and maybe i will comeback to it someday ~
Aleph : Thanks, see you soon
interview by aleph ( again a big, big THX to him ) / translation by chapfou
seems like hes finally made the desicion that we all strife for.. afterall, starcraft is just a game, and a waste of time. (who can honestly say, that starcraft havent had more negative sides than positive, if u add up all) i love the game, and everything it stands for, but im pretty f***ked at school right now, and starcraft is the main reason why.
sounds like he's living it up. contract with amd for some exhibitions etc, that leaves him open to travel a lot. Making money from that and poker+traveling.
sounds nice. Although we need a top foreigner soon. a non-korean guy to make it to the star leagues. can't really see it happening, but hey... sure would be nice.

nice interview btw : )
sad for elky... now only leg and assem are left: O~
lol wtf?
no, he's right. its definetely a carrot.
This interview comes at no surprise at all. But oh well, I suppose in a weird way its encouraging to see players moving on from broodwar. At least they are enjoying their lives and haven't been wrecked and addicted by the game (well probably have, somewhat )
let's cheer for Leg, he's qualified for MBC minor from what i've heard ? though lvl of progamers must have risen drastically since Elky's OSL semi final.
i'm gonna read this in french finally since it'll be easier ;p
Edit : Well it's the exact translation except the "joueur ds l'âme" maybe... But that says all you had to know... now it's time 4 me 2 go 2 bed cya l8er guys )

Better start camping outside the place now, there is sure to be a riot when the one and only ElkY comes to town.
The chance that any non korean will do well in korean tournaments is pretty slim, although with the effort that Assem has put into it, I wouldn't be suprised if he won some things in the upcoming few months. Legionarre is always a top prospect, just seems like something gay always happens n fucks him over...
i'd sure like to see any other foreigner make a mark in it, but who could really win at that level right now outside of korea?
Think it'd be great to see a non korean z player tear shit up, the skills out there for sure

what is "leavin starcraft" supposed to mean? nazgul just said he'll be playing the quali's and stuff, so i wonder if he just "oficially" said that he is not playing 6hs a day anymore?
if he's going to play the qualis i suppose he plays at least 3 games a day? because if he doesnt, theres not even a little tiny mini hope
