Trading Rules
Each week you can trade players (swap a player for someone you don't have)
Every player has a trade value, and you can only trade for players of lower value
You will be limited to a maximum 2 Main Team and 1 Anti Team trades per week
Trades do not carry over if unused
Each time you trade, your team will be assessed a -1 point trade tax
Basic Trading Strategy
Check lineups each week! Players in the lineup are usually more valuable.
Don't make trades just for sake of making trades, as they cost you trade tax points and you may get stuck with a player you don't want
The trade price formula takes into account number of matches remaining -- so players with more matches remaining will have higher prices
You must trade for players with less value, but try to minimize the value loss. For example, if you trade someone worth 30 for someone worth 20, next week you can only trade the 20 for someone less. It's much better to trade the 30 for someone worth 29.
Groups
You will be able to create and join groups so you can compare your results with a smaller subset of the players, for example there might be a Staff Group, a First Time FPL Group, a USA Players Group, or a group created by you with just your friends.

I'm not affiliated with running FPL but I thought that, after 4 games, people would want a discussion thread (there usually is a separate one from the sign-up thread), and maybe the mods were a bit busy. I think Hydra will prove to be the most efficient man in R5, though Bisu will also be quite efficient. The few people with Jaedong and Stork as Anti are absolute heroes.
I seemed to have decent sense picking out who will be fielded (high point people of course would be fielded, but I correctly guessed Shy and Grape at least) but I had horrible, horrible luck with the rest. Out of my the 5 people who have already played on my team, only 1 of them actually won (BaBy)!! What the effff. Goddamn you Leta, s2, sHy and Grape!!! Lol and even if my players' team won, they lost their own games -_-
So....it's a rather odd two days. I have Fantasy and FBH winning but Leta failing the first day. Then I have sHy appearing but getting stonewalled by Juni and Killer being Killer against Jangbi, and Grape losing but on the other hand, I see Wemade getting the 4-2 victory. At least all the people I have tabbed in my Fantasy team are getting appearances-which is always good.
Pretty up and down all in all. Anti-team's looking solid for now though. No hero appearance and Turn appearance (albeit -1 team win). I can live with that.
KT was obvious choice, 4 points for such team is a steal.
Light, my captain - i expect him and ZerO to play in most of Woogjin's ace matches (stars should have a lot of them, given their current state), he is solid in mirror and great vs Z.Who knows, maybe he will learn how to TvP during this round as well, heh.There were few good 6 pointers, and Light was among the best ones.
Calm - with Kal playing terrible lately, he should become STX's first ace.His shape is hard to predict, he might go on a nice winning streak or slump hard, thats why ill probably trade him off later on (after he racks up some points for me of course:D)
Leta - getting back in shape, should appear often and win more than during last season.Hydra will probably appear in most of Hite's ace games, but who knows what will happen.
Crazy-Hydra - KT's depth and Action to practice with should make him stronger with each week, i don't know how he finds himself in new house, but if everything goes well he should appear regulary on KT's match roster.

I have Killer, sHy, and HiyA on main, s2 on anti. sHy is failing vZ, Killer and HiyA are slumping now that it's not WL, and s2 won a game. My FPL is gonna suck for a bit.

i have Perfectman, Jangbi, and Roro on my anti i chose PM and Jangbi cos they sucked so hard in the first four rounds, and Roro is inconsistent. but wat happened? PM, Jangbi, and Roro dealt me 11point damage -_- luckily i gained 12pts from Snow's and Hite's victory, plus 1pt from Stork (KHAN) and Rise (SKT) each

Given the costs for everything, there were very few actual good anti choices. I'll be interested in seeing what ends up being "the good anti picks" later on.

actually, a lot of the top 10 are using the same strat.
MBC was terrible at the WL format. But the players did well in the regular PL rounds, which we've now returned to. After the first 2.5 rounds, Jaehoon was at 14-10 and Tyson 17-8.
Droped to 98th yesterday. Action winning, fantasy losing is bad today the same thing my woongjin anti player won but at least my wemade player won as well so they kind of balance out. Samsung vs Ace is going well for me so far.
The thing is...my main team scores well but my anti is killing me =( its the second time I enter...and the second time this happens lol.....I really suck at picking anti teams. My main team usually does well but the anti...TT

I dont think Jaehoon will be winning a lot. Leta has lost his games but im not going to give up on him just yet, also got baby and though he lost against Light he still looks solid. Grape winning games and rock and gorush picking points from ace will help a bit.
Was a pretty good day for my Team. FBH, Neo Soulkey, Great and Shine won from main team, Great appeared in Ace and Anti Team members Jangbi and M19M lost.

This is just the first week, but I hope Jaehoon don't become a Roro :/.
Jaehoon IS the new Roro of FPL. He was killing anti-teams in Rds 1-2 and then 3-killed Khan in Rd 3, but people have short memories. And given that MBC have so few players, Jaehoon will be sent out almost every match day and occasionally as an Ace as well.
Had negative total points couple of days ago, now in the top 300. Still 21 points off the leader already, but Iris and Oz helped out enormously. I hope I can make some good trades this season.
Does anyone know what exactly the scoring system is for this season? It's not what's listed in the OP.
Leta and ZerO letting me down as they're supposed to be 2/3 people I'm relying on the most for points, but still early in the season so hopefully they pick things up.
Anti is doing ok I guess? Went with the FrOzen/Modesty combo + Fantasy as only 9 pointer who is most likely to drop games

I picked movie for anti not because I think he is that bad a player but because I just don't like him. I advise people not to use this strategy for FPL. It is not a good strategy

Leta Iris is a big gamble, Leta is underperforming badly but Iris could just be a fluke(I mean really, who expected Iris to be send out as an ace let alone him winning). Not to mention that ACE will most likely not win all the games, while as you get a point each time Hite Entus wins(which is much more likely to happen).
Reality for Barracks I wouldn't do, Barracks is a rookie and Reality is showing much more promise then Barracks, Reality is bound to be send out every game aswell, whereas Barracks I am not so certain of.

that's just a holdover from when lineups used to be announced a while beforehand. that changed early in 2010 due to match-fixing.

I have Kal, Horang2 and ToSsGirL as anti and I'm so happy with that . After trading STX for WeMade, I'm so happy now. Shine won, WeMade won, Samsung won (Grape brings me points), Kal lost, STX lost, tossgirl didn't even play, hite had no games so horang2 didn't play either. Today's gains for me is a lot i guess.

I love Zero as a player but I would never pick him for FPL. For his cost he simply isn't worth it because he has the weakest matchup (ZvZ) of any ace player. He simply isn't going to win as many ace matches as other big name players because he is so easily sniped as there are plenty of ZvZ specialists.

Slipped back a little today, only a couple of points 3 points from JD winning, but Jangbi cost me one for Khan's win.
Doing a little math, the scoring seems as such: Win a game: 3 points. Win an ace match: 6 points. Lose a game (ace or otherwise): 0 points. Team wins: 1 point. 3 game streak: 1 point. There hasn't been any 6/9 streaks, or streak breaks to determine what those are worth. Given that every player in the lineup now plays (unlike before) those points are no longer needed, and can be removed for simplicity.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I saw your post. Still, in the scoring example, that's how it works.

Neo G. Soulkey: I like so much about him, especially his nick and his playstyle. His cost of 6 was fair so I made him my team captain.
FBH: He was ridiculously undercosted and the easiest pick of all. Even at 5 points he would have been at the edge of being too cheap so I certainly have no regrets picking him for 2 points too cheap. How is he on 48 people's Anti Team?
Shine: I don't like Shine's play style at all from my viewer's perspective but I know he has much win in him and I respect that so I picked him for my main. That way I can be happy if he wins and if he loses .
Crazy-Hydra: I figured that KT wouldn't have bought him if he sucked so I went with that and he is also solid.
Best: I just had went with my gut feeling and didn't get disappointed. He was certainly not undercosted, despite being cheap, though. His play was lackluster for a long time but unlike Jangbi I never had the feeling that he didn't have it anymore. But I might trade him away next week anyway because I didn't like his play against Saint at all (despite winning).
Great: so far the Star of my team. Picked him as a solid player and with a combination of good matchups and strong play he put me into the top10
Hite: Maybe I should have chosen KT like everyone else but I was afraid that they would die 2-4 or 1-4 too often like Oz does.
Anti: JangBi: I feel so bad about that choice but he was just overcosted like crazy. His play has been bad since way more than a year and even in his few wins he couldn't impress me.
M18M: I expected him to lose most of his games and so far he did.
Hyun: Another player I like. A lot. He is strategically better than 90% of the other players but his mechanics are just not on Pro Player level.

I think they're not doing the lineup appearance AND the ace match appearance. They're just counting ace match appearance.

Posted this on the last page, and I don't think anyone's said it's incorrect. This appears to be the scoring system for this season. Win a game: 3 points. Win an ace match: 6 points. Lose a game (ace or otherwise): 0 points. Team wins: 1 point. 3 game streak: 1 point. Streak break: 1 point. Haven't seen any 6/9 streaks to tell what they're worth, assuming 2 and 3 points. Pretty sure this works out for all the players, but please tell me if you see anything wrong! I'm trying to understand the points system myself.

That points system is not correct, however. Several players points totals are different than what they would be using the system you posted. Specifically Bisu, Great, Iris, Fantasy, Flash, Sea, Hydra and ggaemo.
I do believe what I posted works for all player's current point totals. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.
Bisu 3 for lineup appearance 8 for game win 2/1 for ace (-1 for lineup or not ...) 1/2 for 3 game streak (or 2 points, depending .. does the 3rd win allready get +1 or the 4th) 3 for 3x team wins

I can't remember if this is my imagination or not, but wasn't it possible to score positive points on the antiteam before? I remember one season having Fantasy on my anti and him giving me like +8points cause he was losing massively. If that was the case, I wish they'd bring it back, it was much more fun picking antiteams where you guessed which players would lose, rather than just going for players who aren't going to play at all.

This day was rather bad for me. Reality and SK, who were both doing well, faced each other which obviously resulted in one player losing. Both were undefeated so far and one win away from a 3-win streak which made it hurt even more. FBH won again...and even against Mind who was on a little streak which netted him one additional point. His performance, in comparison to Iris', is better which will probably result in more points in the long run. The worst part was Peace winning though. I have a tradition that I put a player on my anti-team which will never play and it always worked but he had to screw me up. But I guess it's my fault, I knew STX wouldn't be doing well and should have gone for Tossgirl instead

If it's an input error it'd have been fixed :p
No idea how the FPL system works, so there was the possibility that, after feeding the information, it would be difficult to alter them(as in, you can't change the inputs directly without messing something up). But as I said, it doesn't matter. I'm happy that there is a FPL in the first place which makes watching so much more interesting/fun <3 Thank you for that

yes. It was possible before. I think it was done by giving more negative points for a loss streak

Hey Milkis, is the scoring error also related to the player's trade values? Iris is currently worth more than some $6 players despite starting as a $3. I don't recall them being so volatile before.

I never really played FPL before so I wouldn't know since I don't know the formula. But I would have to guess maybe it's because it's the beginning of the season?

Most AT points goes to : *drums* xenu with -47 ... IrisgreatKiller ... Is that actually within the 13 points or did he pick more ... cant tell.
BUT the race is still on (with 2 players allready featured last time) at the very bottom of the scores between Shilaldie (-22 total) and SerpentFlame (-21 total).
The sad story is : Both have 20 points from their main and BisuJaedongFlash only gave Shilaldie one less (more ?) point that BisuKillerTyson gave SerpentSnake.
Not a big lead and I hope it continues to be this interesting at the ..... RACE TO THE BOTTOM

Sea and Bogus were in the same situation today, both lost their first game and faced each other in the ace match. Sea lost and got 0 points while Bogus won and got 7 points. So winning an ace match counts a lot while losing an ace match makes the whole ace player selection useless. If Sea had won that match it would have been the other way around...for me, with Sea being on main and Bogus on anti, it's a 14 points difference(and that for one match with only two players being included).

How I understand you....my team is scoring nicely (not that great since fantasy and Hydra are making sure to get a L everytime they're out, but still nice) but my anti....ffs...SkyHigh winning left and right...free somehow rememberd how to play and has 4 LA and 2 W I believe and action I know it was risky but so far If my memory is correct he is my not so bad anti player.....

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, this isn't absolutely true... If teams start outperforming players of the same cost (however unlikely), then things become somewhat murky. Woongjin with a points/cost ratio of 2.8 is close, although they would have to outperform Horang2 whose points/cost ratio is 4.0 right now. Someone smarter than me really needs to write a script that can calculate the best team.

Actually, I think after last night the combo of (20) great + (18) KT might be better than (23) Fantasy + (12) ACE to sneak into the last spot on the dream team... Fantasy is the worst performing player on the FPL dream team with only a 2.55 points/$ ratio (lol). We'll have to see how SKT does against STX tonight, although considering how crappy STX has been lately, it shouldn't be a problem for Fantasy and n.Die_soO to pick up some more points.
Iris is absolutely destroying everything with an 8.333 points/$ ratio followed by FBH at 7.666 points/$.

Not to snub your win, but indeed, with so many in- and interdependent variables... I think you'd have to be pretty lucky to be in the top 50 of 10 averaged FPLS.

I've basically run with a joke team cos the bisu+skt autopick cost so much this round that i didn't have enough points left over to have a serious go. Yet I'm higher than i've been since the second round of fpl ><.
I gambled on Kal for my anti and he paid off. I gambled on tossgirl for my anti and she paid off as well, then I gambled Horang2 on my anti and the guy keeps fucking my fpl up. Why do I have to have an anti-team fucker every single season?
FML. I'm up to -46 on my anti. I traded off bogus after he was crushing my anti but I'm stuck with Jaehoon who is taking a dump in my fantasy proleague cheerios. Thankfully my main team is pretty solid.
I haven't been following BW enough to be able to pick out the low cost ringers like previous seasons, so I lowballed my team, going instead for the LEAST points possible. So far I'm in last place like I wanted!

I don't know why so many people are complaining about bogus on their anti team. He cost 6, you expect him to cost you a fair amount of points, yeah he gets lots of games, but he's not exactly owning it up.

Oh no. What have I done!? I was really tired a couple nights ago and put Hydra on my anti-team. Thanks to poor decisions there's no way I can get "good" anti teamers now. Lol. What a rookie mistake. I suppose now is the time to create the ultimate anti team and let the negative points roll.

My trades working out OK so far, Bringing iris onto my anti team a good decision so far as he loses, and picking up Stork for FBH also a good decision. Only regretting the decision to keep FOX, though I guess it was SKT, we shall see after the next couple games I guess.

78 now after a day outside the top 100. My team freaking sucks. I'm getting 2 points from my last player (Dream.t)check, and 5 points from my team (STX ;_;). My trades have been sucking as well. I just feel like if I put more effort into this I might have a shot at the upper levels, but instead I'm just weaving in and out of the top 100...

Waiting for update. Hopefully I am still at #1 even though the last games of the week, especially Hyun vs. Kal, were not very successful. Shine seems to be off the A team and RoRo didn't get to play because CJ finished WeMade too fast. But on the other hand my Oz guys do very well

No update on the fantasy points standings for about a week at least? I think I might be pushing top 100 when they update...I've been having some verrrry good results recently
I'd say be patient on the update, the guy in charge could be busy with something IRL like exams, moving back home after a year in College/University or just on a holiday. Frankly I hope they don't update it, my results have been subpar the past few weeks.
Not sure if this will stop my bleeding, highly unlikely due to the trading Jaedong for Bogus on my anti team lol. FBH was hard to give up, but he hasn't been doing too well the last 2 weeks(over exageration, I just see him not doing as well near the end of the season). Pure just doesn't play anymore.
I'm happy about top 10, but I'm upset that the first place guy also went of all SKT players, and just did it better than me One more game to go, and a very small chance to get #1
