more like the comments of that game in that LR thread. the fact people would blindly not recommend that game vs fantasy, I am honestly dumbstruck. he was amazingly aggressive throughout the entire game, starting from even the scouting probe. he virtually shutdown fantasy's vulture harass, pulled some good stasis and recalls. he lost it in the end but it was anything but a roflstomp as those posters would have you believe.

I had such high expectations for Jaehoon when I first started watching broodwar as I had watched Jaedong and Jangbi previously. However, he has consistently brought shame to the Ja- prefix. I will never forgive him for it.

Yea, I guess what intrigues me is you always hear is downright excellent in practice. Then he comes to games and doesn't really perform.
He has been doing better lately as OP noted, though the results are still far from someone who is considered to be very good in practice. That sounds like a well above 50% player to me, and Jaehoon is definitely still not playing at that level.
Drawing on my experiences with golf, it was pretty nerve-wracking to play in front of people at first, but as you go on it justs becomes automatic, and you almost forget about it. Where it really becomes an issue is in really high pressure situations. This is where choking becomes serious, because if you badly screw up at a critical moment then that becomes pretty ingrained, leading to a potentially career damaging cycle (see: Jean Van de Velde). So I guess the question is, has Jaehoon ever had just a crucial moment at which he has choked?
If not, I really don't understand it, he has played a reasonable number of games and really the TV environment should be pretty natural and comfortable for him. I can understand someone choking when they get under the pressure of being in a StarLeague finals, but consistently battling nerves in random proleague games is unusual. I know from my experiences in golf I haven't run into too many players that can play great outside of tournaments but then struggle everytime they are in that tournament setting.

The first time I heard of Jaehoon, it was when he vs'd Bisu in SPL. All I remember was that Bisu went dt's vs him, and that Jaehoon made some funny faces/reactions when he discovered the DT's. That and he was really sweaty after his game(s).
Though Jaehoon has come a long way since then. He's pretty decent now, and I think he has quite the potential.

I remember watching this game live and being on the edge of my seat the whole way through! Jaehoon really had me nervous there for a little bit

Jaehoon performs a lot better under pressure nowadays. He probably won't become a superstar, but could end up being a regular performer for MBC.

in any other team they would have sent someone else after so many fails
but no they kept putting their confidence in him and now he is paying them back back in spades

I think Jaehoon still has those moments where he walks an overwhelming amount of zealots/archons right past a hydralisk army, but, nevertheless, his gameplay is actually looking much more solid than before I think. I'm so proud of my Jaehoon. :')

I was shocked the past few MBC games, they sent him out and he just rocked people lol. ofc, its not him that's making my fantasy team go in the shitter (poor anti-team picking, got saddled with sea T_T), so I can love him. Every game he wins, I silently chant to myself...
