You should probably scan afterwords to be safe. To make an account on Fish is the same way you would make it on Battle.net. You could then use the same login and password you made to log in on the Fish website. I am not really eager to disable my anti-virus in order to run something that it considers a trojan. Are we 100% sure that this is just my anti-virus being silly and my computer will not get totally fucked if I do that? I did the "new account" thing and made an account and I'm logged in now; is there anything I have to do on the Fish website in order to activate my account? edit: i'm guessing this is it? i hope i don't have to navigate it very frequently; it's slow as balls I never got a trojan when I dl'd mini. It's just your AV being triggered by false positives etc. Just ignore.
You also don't need to do anything on the Fish site or even visit it to "activate" account.

when i click configure on latency changer there's two boxes, "reduce latency to 1 on lan" and "reduce userlatency on lan" - do I need to check either of those?
also I am confused as to whether I should be using #LL or #L2 - is one for brain and one for fish or is there just no difference between the two?

Hi i on Windows 7 and whenever i try to go brainclan SC crashes. Any ideas to help me? Thanks

I am in the same situation as this unlucky player. Except for me I just get booted back to the online options window instead of a crash. The fix failed to work for me tt. Anyone any ideas/help would be appreciated.

From the other thread I understand that brain server goes down daily for maintenance c.6am korean time.
I tried logging on at another time and it worked fine.

I have a question.
I've been playing on fish, but recently everybody leaves my games as soon as they join in. A couple of guys told me "w launcher" and left.
There is banner in fish that takes you here http://www.wlauncher.com/page_wLauncher.html
Does anybody knows how to use this? And also if it's the official launcher for fish? Can anybody translate that picture like they did with Mini plz?

Seems to be a different launcher. Wdetector seems to be some sort of anti-hack detection software.

From what I've seen, all they mainly care about is you having a launcher with latency changer..

Oh yeah, while this makes it so you can read announcements and b.net chat, I don't think it allows you to read map file names and in game chat. I think you have to install a language pack for this.
If you're not running windows 7 premium/ultimate and are running home edition, you have to run vistalizator: http://www.froggie.sk/download.html . EDIT: NVM. doesn't work.
Anyone know if downloading the "korean" client of brood war from blizzard's site would work?
NVM, you actually have to go to "Format" under regional settings and change that to Korean as well.

if you have the Korean Language Pack installed (google it if you don't) then press left alt + left tab. After that you will be able to change the keys of your keyboard with the right alt.
