Awesome event! I remember White-ra defeating Boxer at IEF, so beware them foreigners can still do it.
Also, this is the BW forums, SC2 #care
There's too many SC2 events as it is and not enough BW ones.

How will they deliberate with MBC games to get permission? I thought gretech had the license to Blizzard games?

And yeah, all Blizzard games. :/ I don't see how they can completely ignore SC2 and not other blizzard games. If they think MBC can let them use brood war, why not SC2 you know?

Anyways, nice event for BW. Just another showcase at how awesome blizzard games are lol

Why should they use sc2 when it's not that popular in Korea?

It's not that popular in Korea because they aren't using it, quite the opposite they're trying to kill it off becaude of KeSPA's eternal status of butthurt. Good job trying to kill off the future of e-sports there, guys.

The lawsuit will handle this shit once and for all. KeSPA will regret being stubborn and not ever taking the Blizz negotiations seriously.

I honestly don't why people are complaining that SC2 isn't in this IEF, because you guys already have like 300 tournaments for being a new game out there.

If this so-called "Future of e-esports" have an arbiter (or mothership w.e. that unit that cloak stuff) on top of its audience, then I whole-hearty agree with you!

Btw, this is Kespa's saying: "Blizzard, Fuck you!"

Only some Chinese players played in IEF 2010, and none of them were top players like Pj, Lx, F91, Super. I don't expect foreigner involvement in BW to go too well.

Event starts in a few days. Any news on which player is going? Will MBC still be able to broadcast the event?

Bisu and Stork. MBC will be broadcasting it, but I think it won't be a live broadcast. Opening ceremony will be shown on 8th Oct, 4pm KST.

Not live? When will the event itself be then? Is there any more info, because I'd really love to go and watch. Can never miss a chance to see both my favorite players <3

It will be held at Suji Sports Park (수지체육공원) in Yongin City, Gyeonggi-do. The festival is from the 7th to the 9th of Oct. The opening ceremony starts at 5pm KST (7th Oct). Before that there will be a Samsung Khan fan-signing. I'm not sure when the SC tournament will take place.
