Is there any channel on fish where foreigners congregate? If not we should start one.
op teamliquid, I'm in there all by myself
Most foreigners stick to iccup. I myself mostly play sc2 nowadays, but when i go back for some bw action iccup usually doesn't have too many games.

So anyone playing ?
I just installed it -> Morti, add me if you wish

Is it worth it to get on Fish or Brain instead of just iccup (I'm not that good I mean as in the place with the most TL ppl in it ^^) or battle.net servers? I've heard so many things about both of these and see people streaming on them but have never seen a simple answer as to just downloading something/registering and logging on it all sounds so complicated. XD

True, but the games are enough for the number of people who ladders.

I'm really tempted to move to Brain or Fish, because the latency is awful from China. I'm almost sure it will be a lot better if I play on Korean servers. Last time I tried, the launcher came with multiple ad-ware and spy-ware, so I uninstalled it.

Yeah that's exactly the comments I always hear about the downloading process from everyone and since I have a fairly new computer with only MSE protecting it (too poor to pay for anything) I'm like super wanting to get on but very worried something will screw my system up. Wish they had made it simple like iccup did as far as integration to the battle.net system.

if you just use Chaos Launcher (by MasterChaos) you'll be fine. I currently use W-Launcher (google it if you desire) as it does everything mini launcher does. But I get korean ads whenever i close SC.

I have and do use Chaos Launcher (although for some reason it tells me getting on iccup through it shows "forbidden" symbol). How do I go about using this program to get on different servers, from what I was aware Chaos Launcher only could take me to battle.net and iccup servers, god I am so noob at this stuff TT.

So, is there a way to make the Korean text display as English so that I can communicate with who I'm playing with?
If not, what's the proper etiquette here? I usually just always type gl hf gg and then gg when I lose and aside from that, nothing.

If you speak in English, there is a high chance of a Korean with extremely broken English BMing you. Roughly 10% of them speak English well enough to communicate. And in my experience, around 1 in 4 love foreigners and try to speak to you. You are allowed to speak in English, just never _NEVER_ NEVER EVER EVER EVER speak English in the ladder channel. One of the admins will just randomly ban you, sometimes even from the server. Which is understandable, as it's a Korean server, but just don't do it. In games + private channels it's fine.
