No matter how many times I watch it, whenever I see that scene in the Xellos Highlight vid where he rapes an ultra/ling army + 12 sunkens with a fuckload of m/m, and the commentator is going insane, i get shivers down my spine. It's so pimp.

Watched both. SoL one was very nice although the zoom effect was maybe a little overused. First plays were not that good (I was just like "why the fuck did they put that in?" several times) but all the second part was really good stuff. Btw that girl seems quite strong at PvZ. 
USS one, well, I didn't really like the special effects. Pretty average stuff. Not much actual Starcraft play, not much pimp stuff either (though that ling trick to lure mines into sunkens was kinda cute), and to top that off, it somehow stops before the actual end of the movie. (Didn't work on WMP9, had to use MPC, btw.)

I always wonder why korean tv leagues dont use such tricks? They could slow down the action and focus the vision on a unit (like on the mine in the movie)

Well, starcraft doesn't time out every 5 seconds after a play like in most spots. You can stop the game and wait for the camera guy to replay a part in slo-mo with neato effects. It would be sweet, but not feasible. I can only see this happening after an event or a day of matches were commentators would go over any highlights.
