As for 5:12PM EST Dec. 7, 2010: NO Jaehoon and Hyun interviews on DES or Fomos. If their stuff doesn't come up, you know what I'll do...
Winner: MBC
Light: "I beat Flash because I never let my guard down."
Light forced a halt to Flash's SPL 12-game winning streak. Despite not doing significant damage with his early 2-starport strategy, Light quickly expanded while Flash slowed down and eventually closed out the game with battlecruisers and dropships. Since Flash lost, KT readily crumbled and MBC won the match with ease.
Q&A:
Q: Opinions regarding stopping Flash from winning 13 games in a row? A: I wasn't aware about his winning record before the match. When we arrived at the stadium, everyone was talking about 13-wins that, 13-wins this. Anyways, the reason I played on this map was to play against Protoss and 'practice' some TvP. However, last round, I faced Jaedong on Central Plains [T/N: an infamous map for PvP galore] so I had this hunch that I'd be facing Flash. So, I practiced TvT all day yesterday and indeed, my opponent today was Flash.
Q: The game became difficult after your 2-starport strategy failed. A: I didn't know that Flash scouted with his SCV and saw that I didn't expand to my natural, but my teammates told me after the match that he did. Flash defended efficiently against my wraiths so yes, the game became difficult for me. If he kept the pressure up, I don't think I could have taken two expansions at once, but thankfully he backed up his army. So then I was able to even the game back.
Q: Flash attacked your 8 o'clock base several times. A: I fortified it up and he kept attacking it, so I gained advantage through defense. Defending that base was the key to victory.
Q: When were you sure of your victory? A: If Flash maintained his late-game economy, he could have prepared battlecruisers before me. I think he was one base ahead of me. To buy myself some time, I attacked Flash's expansion at the 3 o'clock starting location with dropships. While he was taking care of that base, I cleaned up other battles around the map and gained the economic advantage - so I ended up making battlecruisers first.
Q: Flash destroyed you in R1. A: That day, he completely destroyed me. I was really down after the match, even when we went back to our dorms. When I thought about it later, if I was just a bit more careful, I wouldn't have been so thoroughly destroyed. Today, I told myself before the match to be very very careful. I didn't want to lose so badly again so I heightened my mindset to be extra careful.
Q: MSL Group Selection Ceremony is coming up [T/N: with awesome prizes!]. Are you preparing anything? A: I'm not really preparing anything special. I'm not that greedy for the prizes either. I don't know what others think, but I'm just not interested in prizes and stuff like that.
Q: Strong against strong teams, weak against weak teams - do you agree? A: It seems like you're referring to our last match. We are the only team that has a -7 W/L differential against Airforce ACE this season. It's not that we wanted to lose, it's just that they played exceptionally well. ACE players seem to prepare strategies that are specifically advantageous against our prepared strategies. In round 3, we will have our revenge.
Q: Last words? A: Finally, we are using some of our rookies in our lineup in round 2. Today Tiny lost but he has good fundamentals. I wish him best of luck in his next game. Also, Saint is slumping lately. My roommates are Saint and Jaehoon - because Saint's slumping, our room's atmosphere is rather gloomy. There are plenty of games left, so there is plenty of time to turn it around. Last but not least, the fan brought me food in the vs. ACE match because I achieved 200 official wins in the vs. Woongjin match, but I lost against ACE so I'm sorry~

Sea: "Brace yourselves for my special ceremony!"
Sea has only provided 'verbal action' in the past MSL Group Selection Ceremonies. Now, he's ready to provide some real action. In the upcoming PDPop MSL Group Selection Ceremony, Sea is prepared to show everyone what a 'ceremony' is about. He's seriously considering practising the ceremony and not practising for his starleague match. Sea added that "Stork's eyeing that Galaxy Tab, but too bad, it will be mine!"
Q & A:
Q: You defeated Stats on Bloody Ridge. A: The core of his gameplan was carrier. There aren't many places on this new map that Protoss can fight a good battle against Terran. I went for a cross-attack and goliath surround, which worked well.
Q: Did you learn from your last defeat to Much? A: Yes, it was a good learning experience. I felt that the map I played against Much was a good Terran map, but teams kept fielding Protoss players there. I played that map to show that it's a Terran map, but I don't think I was well prepared. I learned a lot after that defeat.
Q: Flash faced Light. Your thoughts after dodging Flash? A: Majority of the teams, including us, heavily commit to vT practice when facing KT. That's how much of a fearsome being Flash is, and it also means that you can gain that much more attention and fame by simply defeating him. I had the mindset of a fearless challenger in case I had to face Flash, but I met Stats instead and won anyway. I did my part, so I was able to view the other matches with a light heart (laughs). Light faced him, so I was channeling all my powers to him so that he could end Flash's winning streak.
Q: There are two days until the MSL Group Selection Ceremony. Thursday is the ceremony, and the next day is OSL. I suppose it's tough to prepare for both. A: I've always provided ample entertainment with my talking skills, but now I'm going to add a new dimension to that. Idea: check, preparation and production: check! I'm not sure whether it'll meet the fans' expectations but I really thought hard about this one. One of my teammates will help my ceremony too. You will be surprised. Well... high expectations can lead to higher letdowns so please, don't expect too much but enjoy the show!
Q: There are big prizes like the Galaxy Tab and a laptop. A: You know, if there weren't those big prizes, people wouldn't be greedy, but let me tell you - money moves people's hearts. Do people remember the stage accident in MBC by the indy band 'Couch'? I hope the PD and the other staff members are prepared (for a ceremony that's so shocking that it just might be categorized as a stage accident)! I'm still going to go ahead and do it, that's how much I care about the upcoming ceremony.
Q: Who do you think are your major competitors? A: Everyone else, all 31 of them! Amongst them, I think Stork expressed his desire for the prizes. I'm good friends with him so we have regular conversations, and he solidified his position regarding the prizes in the recent conversation. He's a generous guy, but this time it's different. It smells like war. The prizes are so great that I don't know what he's going to do. We'll find out in two days I guess.
Q: Last words? A: The theme for my ceremony is 'ah-juh-ssi' [T/N: means aged man, old man, man in general. However, in this context, Sea is talking about a Korean movie with that title]. I am parodying a scene from that movie. No, my role in the parody is not Won bin [T/N: a famous hot and handsome actor]. You have been warned!

Sea's interview is great :3

Basically, stage accident = on a live show, people screw up on purpose/by accident that causes an uproar in the public (for example, say your pants fell down WITH your underwear and yeah). I'm not aware of what exact stage accident happened regarding that band either. I can recall that one band did purposely expose their penises just to cause an uproar on a live show some time ago in Korea, and did cause an uproar (hence my example). Maybe what I'm thinking of is that same band...

Yes, it's that band "Couch" who exposed themselves that Sea is referring to. It was an MBC show too, Music Camp.
Thanks so much for translating!^^
Sea's ceremony will be so epic. I wonder who will help him. My guess is Hyun but I'm not sure because he didn't make the Ro32. That leaves Jaehoon or Light.
Light so baller but so nice to his teammates. <3 I don't think Hyun or Jaehoon got interviewed. Would have been nice to hear about the mass scourge against Tempest.

Light is too good~~
He beat Flash before, but it wasn't really as satisfying since it was kind of a lame game. This time, the win was 100% legit. Also, now I'm expecting a lot from Sea. He'd better not disappoint

I love sea. He is just awesome
|
Shit just got real, Sea vs Stork semis (because bisu will win the other)

NOOOOOO FLASH YESSSSSS YUM BO SUNG

Light's got his head screwed on straight. The prizes for winning are much more than a measly phone or tablet. These prizes have really turned group selection into a spectacle, even as the group selection system degenerates into something more and more retarded.
I'm glad Sea is challenging what coaches seem to be saying is a P-favored bloody ridge, I don't think it's necessarily the case either. Please don't spend so much time prepping your "ceremony" that you totally lose the next round, though.

Tell me about it...all the bases so easy to defend with a few tanks/mines/depots...somewhat (only somewhat) less of a problem this season though

Well, how did that work out for you, Sea?

I like Sea's new haircut. I think it looks good. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to like it I really wish he would stop putting his hood up. He looks way sillier with the hood than he does just having short hair >_>
