If he can actually deliver solid wins for the next few months I might be a fan. At the moment he's pretty underwhelming. I basically disagree with 99% of this but that discussion has no point anyway. The captaincy passed from Canata to Hyuk a few months ago without fanfare (at least on TL). We can only speculate as to why, but speculate away I shall. Usually the captaincy is held by one of the most senior/veteran players, and Canata is by far more of a veteran than Hyuk is. But we also sometimes see (in past situations) the captaincy pass to another player shortly before the former captain retires, and that might be the case here. Or Canata might be considering it more seriously, even if he hasn't decided. Late last season Canata mentioned thoughts about retiring in a rare winner interview, when he broke a huge losing streak, and his current results aren't exactly encouraging. Plus his huge, truly mythological string of victories in Survivor just ended. I'd hate to see him go, too, but it might be the best for him to move on with his life. I liked him because he was veeerrrry bubbly and upbeat (well back before he kept losing every game). Plus he's reputed to be one of the hardest working players in the game, and I always respect such people in every walk of life. If he doesn't update the absolutely empty fanclub OP soon, I'm going to compile all the information myself, beyond just the summary stuff I've done so far. Then the #1 claim might no longer look as appropriate. | ||
