Cyric, haha... such is the nature of Heartcutter's Deep6 (find links at Battlereports.com). I tried using this strat exclusively and I was infatuated with it at the time, but it's not terribly good against players who have good goon control/psi aiming/reaver control. The biggest issue is psi storm, since whether or not you live through that is entirely dependant on the skill of your opponent. Against goons you can win if they have no room to dance, and against reavers you can bait the reaver with one sacrificial marine at a time (from your pack of Marines, choose one to run ahead of the rest and attack the reaver, thereby forcing the reaver to counterattack it, then while the reaver is reloading swarm it, but you may have to bait it again before it dies). However storm is a real killer, and can totally ruin the cost-effectiveness of the strat. I have had the best success with it on island maps though.
I was Heartcutter's disciple for a long time as he developed and refined his strategies, and the strategies work if you have the skill to execute them well, but naturally they are very micro-intensive. Naturally players like Nazgul will outright laugh at these unorthodox strategies (my variation of Deep6 happened to use Lockdown and Optic Flare extensively, with almost no tanks), and that's to be expected, but they're a good change of pace for a non-professional gaming environment =)

Nope I'm not him, but I was a big fan of his strategies. His battle reports ruled too and he was the best player I knew at the time. I was so happy to get that account on West one day. I'd like to believe I lived up to his legacy too =]
