Now, Waxangel has kindly asked me to elaborate a bit more on the hite SPARKYZ situation. It looks like Side and Zeus will temporarily be the head coaches for the team, as netizens (aka talk with him in a quick msn conversation) have speculated the removal of long-time head coach Lee was due to his repeated choices of sending out the players such as go.go, Yarnc etc which were under investigation, and that the OGN head honchos simply had enough with him.
I'm supprised that the best player on each team inst the captain, good to see oz do this I also like how hite has taken action against the match fixers

I don't like to see Jaedong as captain. It just shows even more how OZ is a one man team. There is supposed to be other senior players to fit that role well while certain younger players are at the top of their game.
And man, as if Hite hadn't gone far enough down the drain yet...
Well you can look on the bright side and maybe think they had gone down the drain because of match fixing and the obvious lack of dedication because of it and now they can start again.

Isn't Anytime going to come back?
That's a good question considering Anytime joined Oz because he had problems with the coach. Oz sure could use Anytime as a player coach for their toss lineup.
All the expected changes... most of them due to the match-fixing shit. Poor Thezerg, Hyuk is Hyuking it up in PL so I guess they didn't need him anymore.
*Edit: now I feel even worse for him because him and I share the same Korean name lol (not the last name though).
Wait, estro removes Sangho after he gets cleared from the match fixing scandal? That means we only have Flying as our Protoss now. Not that I'm complaining but still...
Jaedong becoming captain...as long as it doesn't screw with his performance all is good...
Seeing Shark removed is depressing...
Seeing Darkelf and Hwasin removed because of the scandal is also depressing...
Mostly bad news in this month's roster change. Damn...
Those are quite the changes. It's kind of exciting that we might get to see a few new faces. too though, so it'll be refreshing. Who knows. Maybe some of them will be able to pick up new fans.
My utter and complete bias against Calm is starting to mess with my head. It's no secret I don't like him but I actually hoped he was removed from the roster before I read the entire post.

I imagine HITE would have been a pretty strong team had their been no match fixing. I mean when 2/3 of your main roster are throwing games, you tend to not do so well.
Now at least the honest player in the HITE house gets a chance to play and who knows, this might be just what they needed.

Urgh, they removed Shark. Quite embarrassing for a captain to not even make the bench, unless they plan on removing him as captain as well. =(
Replacing Shark with MvPzerG. He's younger but not better. Shark has won all his Dream League matches so far while MvPzerG lost quite a few. IIRC he actually lost once against Hyungjun on the show.
I have mixed feelings about Jaedong being captain. I don't think he needs any more pressure/stress.
And oh man, Hite is so screwed. Doubt they'll win against anyone now. Changing their decent players for scrubs, while having their morale go completely down the drain.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BACKHO! So does anyone know why BackHo has been mia since the beginning of this proleague season? He played a couple games in proleague and such and just disappeared.
okay the people removed are: DarkElf, Firebat, Special, hOn_sin, ggaemo, TesteR, Sangho, go.go, YellOw[ArnC], type-b, Tazza, Shark, Thezerg, Hwasin
excluding people that are known to be involved in scandal, and newbies with like 5 games and 20% winrate, and people known to not be involved
the following can be involved in the scandal: Special, Shark, Thezerg
there was a Mr Jung involved, so although unlikely thezerg is the only mr jung on the list. special might be involved by luxury's two losses in korean air osl
I thought Firebathero removed! It is actually Firebat.
I thought SKT T1 recruited Savior! Actually it is just some no picture guy.
Aw, Hwasin.
I'm kinda curious what will happen to those progamer. Those scandal gamer. They won't be jailed right? I mean, will continue school, study. Or work what? Ah...I've seen Hwasin having nice car.
What if he needs to sell them soon, and live a life of poverty..
Where did these guys come from? They aren't even on the team. Was there a recent draft of rookies or did they search from some skilled amateurs? Will be a while before Sparkyz gets back on track sadly.
I don't really understand why people are happy when the ace player on the team becomes captain. It just seems like the captain works on practice schedules in other words it's more work for the ace player to do instead of practicing himself.
The return of BackHo should be pretty funny however

I'm gonna guess it's because he loses a lot.
Not as much as Perfectman lmao. Backho can still be clutch.
I still lol at his game list. It's funny how he has a tendency to always bump into high class players and take some wins off them while he's at it.
Didn't Oz announce at the beginning of the season that he couldn't be on the roster because of his back problem?
Anyhow, it seems that all the match-fixers have been removed from the rosters, including Hite's head coach. Now Hite has resorted to adding random players from nowhere to fill the bench.
Poor Hwasin. He seemed really determined to make a comeback too. Thus ends the legend of R16 monster.

BackHo was still injured, dumbass!
Oh, oops, I didn't realize his injury was back. Sorry, BackHo! I hope you're healthy again so I can see you lose some more games that you could easily win.

Well he wasn't all that determined to make a comeback. If he had been, he wouldn't have been throwing games.
I hope shark just shows up on variety shows now. It'd be awesome. Hell, he reminds me of DaeSung from Family Outing, I'm sure he can play a similar role somewhere.
Shark should just walk down the route of variety show personality. Along with go.go. yeahhhhh!

A consecration for SKT Zergs.
Can't wait for the ePrison team -- they'd actually have a pretty sweet lineup: Luxury, Yarnc, Hwasin, Savior as captain. They'd be like another ACE, but darker and edgier.
Also, looks like Stars realized they have a lot of bad Terrans.

Well he wasn't all that determined to make a comeback. If he had been, he wouldn't have been throwing games.
We don't know when Hwasin was throwing games though. He had an extremely long career in e-sport and was sticking with Soul before it found a sponsor like how Xellos stood by GO before GO became CJ.
For all we know, he could have thrown like 1 or 2 games years back when he was S-class.
That would hardly have any relevance to his current mindset. He really had a bad run the two recent leagues. 2-0 both of his R16 groups, only to meet his death at the hands of Flash, Stork and Baby. That's some horrible luck.
Awesome change of Captaincy for OZ as well as BackHo finally a competant Toss back in the line =P At least I can hope... Also if Anytime comes back that could strengthen the lineup even more. Anyone know why Sangho's off? (Thought Artosis confirmed he wasnt part of the scandal). Thezerg out makes sense as Hyuk's doing fine. PianO as captain (Realpenguin any thoughts?) Hite try to do well (lol 2 ppl w/ number IGNs). =/.... Good bye and good luck Shark (he's still doing thats show with Saint?). STX is forced to play w/ Frozean as their T?

SungEun has been on the team for a while if I remember, they got 49[scm] in the last rookie draft and they recently signed 45[Name] from eSTRO. I think all the b-teamers were recently removed from the teams in TLPD, so that's why you can't find them there yet.
LOL I bet Shark is involved in the match fixing as well. You don't just throw out a team captain like that. Maybe he'll turn up in some news headlines in the weeks to come.
Also - DAMN hite is cleaning out the house! Its like they just pointed at the door and said gtfo to half the team.

I say this idea has merit ^^ Have a weapon's merchant as sponsor, or a gambling site, moonlight breweries, illegal escort services, all of them? Bring back the glamour to esports!

He's not involved. Shark is scheduled for MST prelims later today.
You were one of my favourites for a very long time. Even though I'm terribly disappointed with your actions, best of luck to you in your future endeavors.
poor shark we really got to know him and MBC thanks to the Hyungjun show.... but now we know that he can have some kind of career in the Kpop business... hope he finds his way..
And what's the deal with eSTRO too? That kind of sucks
Well SangHo was rumoured to have been one of the matchfixers, but in this thread, the OP mentioned that Artosis confirmed that he wasn't involved. He does stick out like a sore thumb in the list in which he appears, since all of the others are confirmed 'fixers.

How can he "confirm" that Sangho wasn't involved?
But Sangho has been on and off the roster repeatedly.

Artosis works for eSTRO's parent company, so he can claim to have some insider knowledge or something. Where and how he actually did the confirming, I know not.

That'd be great, but I'd be willing to bet that they'd never win any games.

Uhh, TheZerg was bought from MBC, just like Bisu and July were.
Sparkyz forever!!! Tybe-B left his bonjwa note in his old room and never used it for fear of it's immense power. One of the new recruits will find it and all hell will break lose.

I know it's been pointed out already, but this is actually wrong to the point of being funny lol
Its a shame the twins both got involved. Don't honestly blame any of the progamers who were involved tbh, not even Savior.

They were all slumping because of well. You know. I think the thing to keep in mind is how it affects the teams morale though... aka I think Hite is in the dumps for sure.

Clearly you have been living under a rock.
As far as I know only Savior and Luxury were forced to retire
Why isn't anyone addressing this? All I can find is that lux and savior have retired as well, why is everyone saying -all- progamers involved were forced to retire?

Never! I don't even know why, but Hite always will have a special place in my heart (I blame Leta). Though in all seriousness, these changes really suck...
It's rather quite obvious that the captains of the teams aren't necessarily the best players. They're just the oldest or the most experienced; playing well in the past to mentor younger players.
I doubt Jaedong is hardly the oldest, but considering the amount of skill Hwaseung has, I don't see who else could possibly be considered captain. I'm pretty sure I can imagine that even if someone else like Lomo or Backho had the 'captain title', I would still see Jaedong as the real captain, and I'm sure that's what the atmosphere is like back at their house.
