This is the first time you entered the Ro8 in your career.
-When I made it out of offline prelims, I said I wanted to get seed status. I really wished to advance back then, and now it’s finally realized. I feel like a whole new person.

Baby has been very hot lately.
-I saw a lot of his recent games, and he really does play well. But he had to play OSL yesterday, so I had an advantage there, so I was confident.

You will meet Flash in the Ro8.
-My condition is pretty good right now and I’m pretty confident. But Flash is very good, and I lost badly in SPL before. He’s someone I want to play against, so I can’t exhibit weakness.

This will be your first Bo5.
-I never played a Bo5 before, so I’m half excited and half worried. But I’m probably a little more excited than worried.

You seem to be changing the Woongjin Terran image.
-I’ve been performing well lately, so I hope people stop saying “Woongjin Terran.” I hope Woongjin Terran can become an image of strength. If I can win against the rank 1 Flash, that would probably achieve a great effect.

You met your first goal of getting a seed, is there a further goal?
-I will be playing Flash, so beating Flash will be my new goal. If I can beat Flash, then maybe the championship is within reach.

-My teammates Ganzi, Piano, Special, hOn_sin, Center, By.Sair all helped me practice. I have another TvT next, so I’ll have to continue asking for their help.

-Becoming a seed in the Ro8 is a very different feeling. To get a seed is a very happy thing. I’m lucky and very happy!

-I hate TvP. Protoss is a big nuisance…

You’ve been doing well lately.
-I’m filled with motivation like before, so I guess my record’s improving. There was a time when I started thinking I can’t keep up anymore, and I had no drive or passion. But after I changed teams, I began working hard again like a new person. The situation suddenly improved then.

You almost lost on Match Point.
-Against a gas steal, I’m usually very confident. But after losing the Command Center, I was nervous. Preparing for the SPL game earlier helped me a lot today.

You’re meeting Jaedong in the Ro8.
-It will be interesting. I never played Jaedong in an official game before. Even though he’s very strong, I will work hard. Compared to TvP, TvZ is still easier.

You’re the only one from your team who advanced.
-Baby is still in the OSL, he still has many opportunities.

Goal after the Ro8?
-I’ve never reached a final. I will work hard to surpass my peaks.

After two seasons, you’re in the Ro8 again.
-I was pretty confident in advancing, so I wasn’t too worried. Good thing it happened.

You’ve played fantasy a lot recently.
-Seems like I have indeed. I’ve played Terran the most recently. But I have this strange feeling that I’ll continue to meet him often in the future.

Fantasy has a unique style, so the recent Starport games must’ve been difficult.
-My head’s starting to hurt. But at least every game has this feeling of freshness. The process is very interesting.

Do you thirst for the championship?
-This time, getting a seed in the MSL was my goal. My first goal has been realized. I like Bo5s, and I’m confident, so I’m starting to have thoughts of getting to an even higher place. But I don’t think now’s the time to aim for the championship yet.

You lost badly when you tried a three Hatch.
-It’s the first time I used that opening, and I ended up losing like that. I asked myself “why did this happen.” Afterwards, I immediately forgot about the loss and entered into the next game.

You were looking to do something different in the third game.
-After the second game ended, I thought “today’s going to turn out very strange.” After the situation turned out too weird, I decided to take the situation into my control first. It was a new strategy, and my scouting was completed. After clearing the mines and moving forward, I knew I’d cause heavy damage.

You’ve avoided Flash and Jaedong entering into the Ro8.
-I’ll still meet them in the Ro4 and beyond. They’re definitely opponents on the road to a championship. It might be better to run into them later than sooner, but I think it’s not that big of a difference.

This is your first time in the Ro8.
-I’m very happy. Not having to play offlines anymore is a goal realized for me, so I’m not too worried now. To be able to exhibit my abilities on a good stage is a good feeling.

Were you impacted by the loss in game 2?
-I knew I could win in the end, so I just calmed myself down for the next game.

You were behind at the beginning of game 3
-I didn’t expect the Zealot attack at the 5 o’clock, so I panicked a little. But after I intercepted the Shuttle and sniped High Templars, the situation was good for me.

You’re the only one from your team who advanced.
-I used to be very envious watching Stork and Jangbi in the individual leagues. Now that I’m the only one from the team, I feel a heavy responsibility. I will struggle not just for myself but for Stork and Jangbi as well.

You’re meeting Calm in the Ro8.
-ZvZ is a 50/50 matchup. Now that I’ve won this much, I have the confidence to beat Calm into the Ro4. I will work hard to prepare.

Goals after the Ro8?
-The seed was my first goal. Now that I met that, I’ll put my best into getting into the Ro4. There are many strong players in the Ro8, and I don’t know how well I’ll do in the end. My goal will just to be playing some great games for the fans.

Last words?
-This is my first time in the Ro8 of an individual league, I’ll thank everyone for their support and encouragement.
