Moon never plaid on ICCup, he switched to War3 with his friends right when War3 came out.
War3:ROC was launched in June 2002.
I'm not saying that he completly stopped playing Starcraft at that time, but he never stated in any of his interviews that it was one of his main hobby.
I believe that he sometimes plays it during his freetime at the WMF center, but still, considering his tight practice schedule, that would still be nothing more than a ridiculous number of hours/weeks.
Not to mention that playing Starcraft and Warcraft both at the same time is ridicously hard, I've personally tried it and it was close to impossible to become decent at both games.

Sorry, I meant "B iCCup skill level". Not that he actually played it (doesn't mean he doesn't).
It was just an estimation and I undervalued his skill level on purpose (for the sake of my reasoning being more fair - it's better to assume he's worse than he actually is). He's actually better than that, which taking games of Testie and couple notable Chinese players over the years proves, imo.
Moon also follows the progaming scene. And you should look at his mechanics. You simply can't have such BW mechanics with little practice. Even seasoned top BW players get rusty over time.
