I liked it, because it actually showed what goes on in a progaming house and the broadcast studio. I remember only glimpses of what progamer residences and practice rooms are like from that National Geographic documentary and it was pretty old. Plus, Hyungjoon was as hilarious as always. This show would not be possible with any other actor, and I think Hyungjoon is actually pretty serious about this whole progaming business. I wonder where the idea for this show came from. Did Hyungjoon actually approached MBC with the idea or was it the reverse?

Did Hyungjoon actually approached MBC with the idea or was it the reverse? MBC approached him cos he's known to be an avid gamer and MBC have a good relationship with HJ's company, DSP. There are other well-known kpop idols who are crazy abt gaming as well but they're boring as hell, watching them wld have been worse than watching paint dry. Totally agree with you, no other actor would have made it work other than HJ. He's also very ambitious so I think he'll eventually get his license. Hyungjun fighting! According to latest ratings, the show set a new record for game-related shows at ep. 4 and it hit the peak at 4.30pm Korean time when HJ and Shark did the radio show. 3.3% of the male population in Korea between age 13-25 tuned in at that time. (Doesn't sound much but bare in mind, MBCGame is not a free to air channel, have to be subscribed to watch, so most pple watch it online). Apparently pple are loving the HJ-Shark dynamic.

GET THAT PROGAMING LICENSE THROUGH HARD WORK! Bribery is OK too! In the words of Hyungjun, "yeah man!" LOL The MBCGame team seem to be treating him seriously too, which is probably why he's so happy when he's on the show. Usually when I watch other Korean shows HJ sadly gets cut off a lot and he's the butt of their jokes.
