Don't get me wrong, I like both shows, and I'm very appreciative of all the subbing work that's been done. It's just weird to hear people complain about how Hyungjoon isn't really about starcraft, given that it actually does show more of the actual games that do get played.

People saying that it's hard to cram that many games into a 25 minute slot are dead right, but it's a question of how that slot might best be used. In Old Boy, I certainly got a lot more out of watching the games they played out a little more in full (like Nal_Ra vs Flash game 1, or the games vs Yellow) then the "practise partner" episodes where we really only got nearly-meaningless snippets. They didn't show much of go.go's and Hoejja's advice, either, presuming they gave any - the episodes seemed to be more about the relationships between the players... which is also what Hyungjoon is full of, uncannily enough.

I agree with Turbovolver, both shows are great.
Oldboy does indeed only have ~25 minutes per episode, but I think there should be more starcraft gaming/advice from the players than slurping and chewing.

To keep up with a semi-pro like that can't just be B can it?
i dont know, when he forgets basic stuff like drone building, and his macro is so poor at times, and hes so easily distracted or unaware, i really do think he was nowhere near as good as gas
a good build order and some overestimation go a long way to making a game w/ an inferior opponent seem great

Gas was very nervous. Coach Ha was using it as his final test before the draft the following week.

The reason this show was superior to Oldboy was thanks to the Hyung Joon/Shark dynamic duo. The go.go episode of Oldboy was great but they should have found some room mate for Kang Min or something.
