In spite of all the criticism, Jaehoon has quietly won 6 of his last 10, and beaten some great players throughout the year: Kal, Hiya (before he started sucking), and the two PvP masters Horang2 and Shuttle. Yes, in between was an 8-loss streak, but look at who he had to face (at least 5 tough opponents including Flash) and I'd say I can overlook that.

A thread like this makes a lot less sense when reality is examined. How about some more open-mindedness?

the most hilarious thing about his fails is that his immense talent is frequently shining through. isnt jaehoon the guy who stork, bisu, jaedong and many others consult for strategic advise?

afaik if jaehoon could play as well on stage as he does during practice, he could be a multiple starleague winner...

Jaehoon isn't that bad of a player, it's just that when he fails he does so in a hilarious fashion. Other players of his skill level, or even below his level, aren't as funny. It's not Jaehoon's skill level that's funny - it's the way he chokes. Not THAT he chokes.

I presume you're joking, but just to be sure, even if a player has 20% odds of winning, you can still make money off of getting him to lose on purpose. Bets are scaled based on odds, so the expectation of the bet, in equilibrium conditions and assuming correct odds, will be equal for either choice, otherwise EVERYBODY picks one side of the bet and no stakes emerge.

So basically, with the given assumptions, your odds of winning actually cancel out of the equation for how much money can be made by throwing a match.

I know this explanation was probably unnecessary, but w/e.

Mistimed recall. He didn't do it intentionally. Too nervous so fingers don't respond well.

Anyway, that was the Jaehoon of the past, he's much better now.

Him winning and doing comical fails is the best of both worlds. That means he gets to play more and show us more hilarious fails while still managing to pull a victory out.

That's why Jaehoon vs Lomo is a classic. Jaehoon made at least 3 comical, hilarious fails but still managed to win the game while providing us awesome comedy material.
