Haha I remember back in those days, I stopped watching SC if there was protoss because it was generally a one sided rape. First 6 Protoss dragons, now 4 zerg, where are all the terrans? I've never seen a year where Terran was truly in a bad spot, though they are short on Starleague titles as of late.
Even more indication that Flash shall be the Savior.

Free still has really good micro. He's actually very consistent if you notice. (His 57.8% winrate repeats itself twice in those two years). It is a consistent inconsistency, but there's a reason he's on all 3 lists when one dragon is only one (Best) and the only others on all 3 are Bisu/Stork.

BeSt had yet to really break out in 2007 I think. Then he slumped hard after EVER 2008.

He has them but they only last like 3 months rather than Jangbi's half-year or Best's eons. Even when he started performing poorly for the last few months of last year it was only in his formerly best MU (PvZ) while he took his pvt to new heights. Plus he's the only one to have made Jaedong look silly in zvp in a series.

you'll notice that in 2009 one of the six dragons was killed

I mean BeSt only being on one list is irrelevant when he wasn't really considered good until 08.

ahhh 2008, the year of the Dragons. *sigh* alas, I don't think they're as highly reguarded or successful as of late. Was good times though!

It's interesting to see who stays consistently on top. But win/loss ratio isn't always a good indication of skill. Sometimes a player is really good, but doesn't get the wins to prove it, similar to Really before this season, Free, Skyhigh recently, Jangbi, etc.
Winning in the practice room is very different from winning on TV.

of course its different winning on TV but win-ratio matters as hell since it shows how stabile you are.

Winning in the practice room is very different from winning on TV. Unfortunately it doesn't mean too much because I'm absolutely ballin' at Track and Field practice but I can't do squat at a meet.
Sure you're good but what matters is what you bring to the table. How well you do under pressure is part of the game and the measure of skill.

seriously what do you actually mean?

WTF... Jaedong played almost 1.5 more times than his direct concurrents and he still have the best ratio? How the fuck is this possible oO

Jaedong was a monster in 2009. Just like Flash will be in 2010

You can be a beast during practice, like Magma was, but in the end, if you can't bring your results to games that matter, it doesn't mean much (like with Magma).
What's so hard to understand about my last post anyway? I'm not sure what you're not comprehending. :/

Protoss on all 3 lists: Bisu, Stork, free Zerg on all 3 lists: Jaedong, Luxury, Yarnc Terran on all 3 lists: Flash, Hwasin
Just thought that might be interesting to see.

Is Winners League solely responsible for the large jump in number of games played from 2008 to 2009, or were there other factors at work here?

i miss the days when fbh was awesome (against terran and zerg, he was always bad against toss)
