IS THIS THE TERRAN THEY HAVE NEEDED FOR SO LONG?!?!?!
The Woongjin Manager said this signing could be what the Terran lineup needed. With this signing, we could be a whole new team etc etc.
Sair himself commented while leaving KT was disappointing, he believes the opportunity of immediately breaking through as the #1 Terran on Woongjin was not hard to pass out on.
He also said stated he has immediately enjoyed the atmosphere of the Woongjin house and feels he will easily adapt to it.
and some random other comments.

Although SaiR did fail many times, I really loved to watch his aggressive play

Initially Piano was only good at TvT, but well he failed at that too.

All I remember from this guy is that he pulled off a secret expo against Bisu and still ended up losing..

GO SAIR! I don't think he is that bad

So now Suny is our #3 Terran instead of SaiR. Boo hoo.

Doesn't matter, Park Ji Soo will break his slump soon! MARK MY WORDS!

The first time we saw him my friends and I nicknamed him Battle Droid Terran. Anyone else see the resemblance?

I laugh at the Woongjin manager. Isn't that what they've been saying for a while now? It's the same way with SKT Zergs. They're doomed to fail.
Except GoRush, who was totally baller. But that was years ago.

Every woonjin terran can tvt(or rather it seemed that they were so bad at every matchup that their tvt looked noticeably better?), but pianos specialty was TvZ, MVP is more of a TvT/TvP kinda guy and Ganzi does whatever he wants. That being said theyve been pretty bad this season, where as last season it looked like they were improving. Sadly they are still probably more reliable than skt zergs and oz toss.

Yea, everyone raved about how good Piano's TvZ, especially with bionic in practice but, well only live games count.

Last season we was actually able to string together like 3-4 wins in a row tvz vs notable players... but that was last season lol, this season woongjin terrans are like 30% win rate lol, probly less.

You have to be kidding MVP is just ROFL.

He had that one game vs hogil?? on medusa/neo medusa!! And ended it with a cool dropship ceremony, I thought he was heading upward after that...
|
Imo sair could be better than mvp, and he wasn't going to get on the KT lineup anytime soon, good luck to him

Hope SaiR will do well with Stars. GL!

Hard to say, if any of those players were on KT I doubt they'd be seeing any playing time either. At least on Woongjin he's pretty much guaranteed to be playing some games which should let us see if he's actually better.

makes sense, flash is younger than his backups so there's no real point in having too many backup terrans for kt for the next few years

Why don't they use GanZi?

Youd think theyd have bought Midas, but maybe the cash wasnt available at the time.

so woongjin is the next KT (buying people left and right)?

A player has a certain degree of inherent talent. Their skill also depends an immense deal on the practicing they do and the environment in which they do it. It is very difficult to estimate how well a player will do when switching teams in my (extremely limited) experience. Sure, the level they play at prior to the switch will give a good indicator of their style and general ability, but players often exhibit big shifts after the team switch. SaiR could find his place on the Stars and really improve. He could benefit from different practice partners and coaches. He could benefit from different physical circumstances and a different environment. Then again, he might not.
Another thing to consider is that he will bring with him his own style, knowledge of his previous teammates, and expertise on the game. These factors will always be beneficial to a team. If nothing else, he will be an extremely valued practice partner and a helpful voice.
Also, as an aside, while reading about Woongjin Terrans I was reminded of the wonderful series between Piano (Organ at the time?) and BackHo in GOM season 3. Those games were really kickass.

Those games were really kickass. you know backho had stolen some of Shuttle GOM super powers. Backho allways made it deep into gom (BUt he ran into a Back injury and a god of war (aka July)) And even made july have a run for his money in game 2 on Garden of God

uh.. i don't know sair... and i don't expect to know sair in the future. good luck to him anyways.

... yay. Again, why didn't we take Shine when he was a free agent? I can't imagine he was too expensive. Anyway hope the new inviorment brings out all of Sair's potential. gl.

I've been waiting for GanZi, PianO, and MVP to rape shit up for ages ¬ ¬ Guess i'll have to wait a while longer.

I totally know. I really dig the YoonJoong GOM stuff too, as an STX fan of course. BackHo seems to have at least as good of a GOM blessing though. I think it was season 3 in which BackHo had some shuttle/reaver micro against Stork that was pretty much out of this world. He took stork out in both season 2 and 3, which speaks volumes for what he can accomplish when he is playing at his full micro potential.
If anyone hasn't seen those GOM games between BackHo and Organ you should see them. I think it was game 2 that was the most spectacular, and wholly worth drooling over.

They need to let GanZi play more! (But that might just be my inner fanboy speaking.)
