Jaedong's interview was not conducted because he had to go for the e-Sports Awards ceremony.
Pure: "I am disappointed to not having played the way I had prepared." "I hope Hwasin does his best and wins his game."
- You ended off with 2W1L in your group. ▲ I am really glad to have won. I was severely at a disadvantage but I managed to make a comeback and win, which I feel was a really good thing.
- You made a comeback to take the game. ▲ I think I wasn't able to show even 10% of my management abilities, which I had prepared for today. It was fine up til killing the Overlords with my Corsairs, but afterwards, I think I got too nervous so my Reaver timing was a bit too late, which eventually got me contained. Thankfully, I managed to break the contain and take the game.
- You were very behind once you got contained. ▲ Usually, even if I get contained, I was able to break it easily, but it was especially difficult for me today. My micro was very lacking, but I think my mindset and focus helped me a great deal with the contain break.
- Because you were very behind in terms of head-to-head count against ZerO (0-4), you must have been very determined to win today. ▲ I prepared really hard. It wasn't just because I was facing him, but it was also because the chances of me advancing into the Round of 8 will get higher that way.
- Didn't you feel pressured because ZerO was on a 13-game ZvP winning streak? ▲ I felt what I planned for today would work perfectly, so I was overflowing with confidence. However, despite taking the game, I still feel very disappointed with my overall play.
- If Hwasin wins his next game, you are guaranteed a spot in the Round of 8. ▲ Because I won today, Hwasin is now out of the OSL so it's very thoughtless of me to say this, but I sincerely hope he does his best for his game (laughs).
- What is your target? ▲ My spot in the Round of 8 isn't guaranteed yet, but if I do succeed in getting into the Round of 8, I really want to get into the Round of 4. I want to try being in the top 4.
- It must have been easy for you to practice, seeing how many Zergs there are in WeMade FOX. ▲ During practice I lost a lot. However, that was because my teammates play really well, and I was confident that I would be able to win in live games.
- Any final words? ▲ I saw Jaedong rushing to the e-Sports Awards right after the end of the first game, and I want to lead a busy schedule like him. I will work hard, for the sake of those supporting me.
Calm: "I am glad to have gone 2W1L in my group." "I hope EffOrt wins."
- You finished off with 2W1L. ▲ Now my chances of advancing into the Round of 8 is much higher. After losing a game, I felt very disheartened, but now that I ended off with 2W1L, I feel very relieved.
- The failure of your initial Zergling rush made the match much more harder for you. ▲ Unfortunately for me, my initial rush was defended off, and it wasn't supposed to be defended off that easily. So I was very surprised. Thankfully, my second rush destroyed the Sunken Colony and was able to pressure him with my lings, and I think that was the key reason for my victory.
- Your micro during your first Zergling rush was bad. ▲ One of my lings was attacking the hatchery, and I didn't think it would play that big a role in the outcome of the battle. That caused the game to turn out to be very tough for me.
- Including the continuous loss of your overlords, you continued to be on the receiving end of the beatings. ▲ I had more drones mining minerals than my opponent, so losing my Overlords wasn't that big a deal. I knew I was able to win if I defended well with my Mutalisks.
- EffOrt now has to win so that there wouldn't be a tiebreaker. ▲ I am personally close to both players, but this time round, I have to root for EffOrt because he plays better. I hope fantasy will play better the next time, and lose this time to EffOrt. I want to advance into the Round of 8 comfortably (laughs)
- Any final words? ▲ yCh[z-zOne] helped me a lot with practice, and so did Modesty and by.hero. I want to thank them.
Stork: "If you are unhappy, call me out for a Revenge match." (the OGN show) "I was just returning the favor."
- You are now guaranteed a spot in the Round of 8, with a score of 3W0L in your group. ▲ I was really down during practice, but I was able to have some hope of going 3W in my group, because it was Kwanro. Everything turned out according to plan in the end, so I am not that excited.
- You and Kwanro give and take a lot. (TL note: Not sure how to phrase this, but basically saying they get really aggressive when playing against each other and how they're not willing to lose to each other) ▲ I was envious of how much attention firebathero was receiving, but now that I am in his shoes, I don't feel the same way anymore. I was rather taken aback by Kwanro picking on me. I felt that he has some negative feelings towards me, and I couldn't just sit back and do nothing. I was waiting for today.
- You were playing as though you already knew what he was going to do. ▲ During practice, if I built cannons without scouting I would lose, but I saw him mining gas with my initial scouting probe, so I immediately thought of all possible strategies he may go for. During practice, if I built 4 cannons in the start I couldn't win, but because my opponent was Kwanro, I felt I could.
- Kwanro played very aggressively. ▲ He thinks his nickname is "The Typhoon', but sorry, that nickname is reserved for Shine. After seeing how he was going for an all-in build, I thought to myself, "the only way he can ever beat me was through an all-in". ZerO said Kwanro practiced very hard for today so I was looking forward to today, but when I saw what he was doing, I was very, very disappointed. The fact that someone practiced so hard for an all-in is hilarious (laugh).
- Your team's recent performance isn't so good. ▲ I didn't let my guard til the end because it was Kwanro. Although we lost in Proleague yesterday, my coach told me not to be too affected by the loss, and that I should win in the OSL today. Our coach was the one feeling the most down, but I am really grateful to her for giving such encouraging words. The OSL is now on Fridays, so I am able to focus on Proleague more. I want to repay my coach for all she's done by winning in Proleague.
- What do you want to say to Kwanro? ▲ I think you want get involved with me a lot, but now it's hard for you to meet me in the Round of 8, should you even advance, which is already very difficult for you. If you want to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with me, you have to win at least 3 silver (lol). You started this first through your interview, so now I am just returning the favor. I am not sure why you are bringing up something that happened so long ago. This is why I am going all-out today, and I believe I am the winner in the end, because I have won so many silvers in both OSL and MSL. If you want to be so bold, then at least get the same number of silvers as me before making such bold declarations. I was very shocked after reading Kwanro's interview. This is the first time I am being like this today so some people may not see me in a good light, but I think that I am only doing the same thing that Kwanro did.
- You must really want to win this OSL. ▲ I won my OSL when I didn't think about winning it, and I always got good results in the individual leagues because I told myself that I just wanted to be seeded and nothing more. I will work hard and play without much desires, so that I will not be filled with regrets in the end. The Protoss players are struggling nowadays, so it gives me all the more reason not to perform poorly. Actually, I prepared a build that is so good, people will call it revolutionary, but I was not able to show it, which left me quite disappointed. The next time I get a chance, I will amaze everyone. There is only one condition I can use this build against, and those who watch it will be simply awed
- Any final words? ▲ There is the e-Sports Awards, and our team is performing poorly in Proleague, but the Zerg players in my team helped me a lot with practice nevertheless. Also, MBCGame's Sea and Saint took the initiative to contact me and helped me with practice. I am really grateful towards them, and should I get in touch with them the next time, I would treat them to a delicious meal. Tomorrow is my salary day, so I hope they contact me on our day off. I am also ready to treat my teammates, so they can just book any day they want. On the day I played against Flash, we promised each other that the winner would go 3W0L in our group and I kept that promise, so I hope Flash keeps his promise too and gets into the Round of 8. Ending off, I want to tell Kwanro that if you are still sour about today's loss, you can always call me out for a Revenge match.
- Any final words? ▲ I saw Jaedong rushing to the e-Sports Awards right after the end of the first game, and I want to lead a busy schedule like him. I will work hard, for the sake of those supporting me.
Jaedong: "Damn right I'm busy. That Best Zerg Player and Player of the Year Award is mine!"

3 silver and 1 gold, Stork. You ain't all silver anymore!
Happy for Stork that he's moving on and I hope Flash does too. Kwanro got roflstomped today. Sea is the biggest sweetheart in the world for calling Stork and practicing.
Thanks for the translation Konadora! Glad you hade the time. It was a great read
"During practice, if I built 4 cannons in the start I couldn't win, but because my opponent was Kwanro, I felt I could."
Yo stork is fking HILARIOUS. Hahahah "Those who watch it will be simply awed.
And how many times did he say "because it's Kwanro." Just LOL man!! That was the fiercest trash talk I have ever heard in an SC interview, bar none. Stork is off the heezy

Yeah and it's freaking awesome! We need more rivalries like this, they're great.
lol it's not really a rivalry. More like Stork saying "GTFO you're not good enough to be my rival" to Kwanro's attempt at a rivalry. Stork owns Kwanro in everyway too.
"- What do you want to say to Kwanro? ▲ I think you want get involved with me a lot, but now it's hard for you to meet me in the Round of 8, should you even advance, which is already very difficult for you. If you want to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with me, you have to win at least 3 silver (lol)"
no one commented on it yet? This is so funny, cool Stork has some self-irony.
Yes, he's the nice guy, he's everyone's friend, sometimes he even abased himself. But he fights back when he feel hurt. I love him more than ever before (than Incruit OSL finals).
-edit, it seems Flash and Stork are real good friends :D
- One group saying that they should really get this to the Revenge show - One group saying Stork is overreacting - One group saying this is the most aggressive interview ever - Others making fun of Kwanro 'practicing all day long for an all-in build'
The revenge show makes lite of rivalries. go.go and Best were laughing it up and fighting against a smile most of the time. If they would to play against each other now, the rivalry doesn't seem important. (Although watching go.go do squats was hilarious!)
Kwanro and Stork need a Bo3 in the MSL. Maybe a SPL matchup could be good as well. Keep the rivalry going strong. Like FBH/Savior or FBH/Jaedong.

Maybe FBH/savior will work. But not with JD. That will be fucking rape of the next degree with the way both of them are playing now.
I just read Kwanro's interview. I can't really find anything particularly insulting towards Stork.... ? Can anyone give some background info?
Looks like Stork needs to get that sand out of his vagina. Comparing Stork's interviews to Kwanro's, it is quite evident that Stork went overboard with his trashtalk. If anything, it seems like Stork holds bad feelings towards Kawnro, not the other way around.

That's what makes him so great. I could tell he wasn't being completely serious. I'm sure he respects Kwanro and he's just trying to hype the match a bit o_O

this is the problem/fun that occurs when players don't actually talk to each other directly, and only communicate through the ridiculously distorted e-sports journalist interviews (answers are always transcribed to be as dramatic as possible)
By the way, the daily e-sports transcription of this interview makes stork sound like more of a jerk. E-sports journalists are such a fucking joke if they're distorting their transcriptions this much.

Q: Kwanro's drop attacks were very fierce. A: With all the drops he was using, you'd think Kwanro thought his nickname was "Typhoon Zerg." But that one belongs to Shine. His drops were completely ineffective, and when I saw that he was going for a Hydralisk all-in, I was disappointed that for all his talk, the only way Kwanro could beat me was through cheap tricks. He said that he was practicing really hard, so I wonder if he practiced a few hundred games of only all-in rushes.
Q: Any final comments? A: Irrelevant stuff skipped, some stuff about him having cashed him prize money from iesf and wcg. If my teammates want to go out to eat something nice, all they have to do is ask. Kwanro's being too stingy with his money, not even treating the teammates who helped him practice to a nice meal. You don't achieve success alone, a lot of people help you get there, so I think that's wrong. When I help free practice, he comes all the way to the Samsung house to say thanks and take me out to dinner, so it's hard for me to understand it even if Kwanro is still adjusting to his new team. Maybe it's not my place to stick my nose in, but I think Kwanro should treat the Woongjin players sometime.
An entire segment bashing Kwanro is in the daily esports version that's not in fomos. In general, the daily e-sports reporter used much rougher language and nuances in his version of the interview.
Dinotoss evidently angry, but damn, Stork is hilarious. "Get 3 silvers before talking to me!" AHAHAHAHA Silver medals are the way to go. Screw the golds.
Really curious to see that PvZ build that Stork seems to be hyping up. Would be pretty funny and sad at the same time if he meets no Zerg though.

I really think he is bluffing. If he isn't, I think its pretty stupid to tell people you have something completely different in store for them. It just makes them practice even harder for you which is not a good thing.

Well, I think it's pretty stupid to assume that Stork's words will cause them to practice effectively. Go talk to Kwanro about how much harder he practiced for Stork lol.
Although, most times a player talks about having an "awesome, revolutionary build" prepared, it almost always fails horribly lol. Like Flash's play vs BeSt. Then again, Flash said that about carriers and he came out and showed decisively how to pwn them.
The last bit of Daily-esports interview is going to turn most Korean fans against Stork... Shit talking about Kwanro as a pro is fine with most people, but it's very poor etiquette from Stork to start talking about his personal life.
I think theres something going on between stork and kwanro! lol!
But its kind of sad kwanro prepared all out for an all in build....

If you want to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with me, you have to win at least 3 silver (lol)
That's reminiscent of Savior's speech to Bisu. He told Bisu to call him out after Bisu wins three gold. Bisu did and then Savior knocked him out of MSL.

But every player in every interview says they feel they can win...
After reading these interviews, I don't see how anyone can call Bisu the most arrogant and cocky progamer. Man, Kwanro makes Bisu look like the most modest progamer in the business.
Assuming that the Fomos version is correct (since I neither saw the interview live nor speak Korean in the first place, I might as well because it seems like better journalism and less out of character for the guy who begged Flash to let him win last week), my love for Stork just TRIPLED. And I don't think the "because it was kwanro I felt I could" stuff is as much of a direct attack as it seems - I'm guessing that it was just "hey kwanro all-ins EVERY FUCKING GAME didn't you notice". Do we have anyone who both speaks Korean and reads lips to tell us what Stork muttered during the game when the camera cut to him? I'm assuming it was something like "fucking scrub", but who knows.
OMG, how awesome is stork? He even made a CALLBACK to what Savior said to Bisu after Bisu had talked trash about him. "Win three golds first and then you can challenge me." lmfao. STTOOOORRKKKKKKUUUUUUUUU!!!!

Ahaha, I love how Stork and Flash are both just trashing Kwanro in their interviews. Stork is laying down the law here, and Flash last time was like "I won't be satisfied with making it out of my group unless Kwanro DOESN'T make it out of the group, too"
I cracked up so hard at Stork essentially saying "It's hilarious that Kwanro practiced endlessly just for a shitty all-in build"
On the day I played against Flash, we promised each other that the winner would go 3W0L in our group and I kept that promise, so I hope Flash keeps his promise too and gets into the Round of 8.
A promise between ballers of extraordinary proportions. Better smash type-b tomorrow and keep your end of the deal, Flash!
what i read in kwanro's interview that could have bothered Stork, is when he says thats he likes playing better players, but when picking he was very depressed (so he picked Stork, for an easy win) and then he has to become doing better....

He DID have an arbiter tribunal(?) before the game ended. :O
I say its corsair, arbiter, goons. Corsair protects arbiter from scourge, goons go for hydras, ovie massacre complete map control as overlords will not survive to fight it off
Not only did he lose weight, he lost his humbleness. Kwanro called Stork out because he 'simply' beat him on his birthday, and said 'I really want to beat Stork'. On the other hand, Stork is trashing Kwanro around, and he has a haughty aura around him now.
haha, initially i was a stork hater, but in the recent times he made a fan boy out of me. He is truely skilled and showed this fucking all-in zerg kwanrofl how to play!

oh he did. I went to his channel and saw backho v violet as the latest vod, and i was like that was before the osl, he must of not uploaded it yet. time to watch it and laugh
can't believe kwanro practiced that much to do that stupid and fail all-in. I bet that he made the decision of an all-in as the game started... he is not that bad... he could have saved his army instead of suiciding all units w stupid drops, when he could see that stork was ready for it... blah

I think the idea here is that invisible goons will rape hydras - zerg has no detection other than overlords, which get killed by corsairs. If the hydras are getting too close to the arbiter, it can stasis some in the front line while the others have to go around.
I'm not sure it would work either, but its quite interesting. I'm really curious about his build.
Does it means the hatred was escalating? As I am a fan of Stork, I do feel surprise about his aggresive words. Anyway that's how a true man should be. Eye to eye...
ok it's been a long long road but i think i finally can say i like stork. my problem with him before was 1. protoss 2. choking 3. no personality 4. unremarkable play but 1 and 4 are kinda mitigated by the fact that he is one of the only consistent protosses these days, 2 by his osl win, and 3 by this interview.
still hate his samsung buddies though, like really really really
wow, how could i miss this interview? stork is so awesome, i just love this guy. but man, he really was on rage mode. i couldnt believe my eyes when reading this interview for the first time. i couldnt believe stork was capable of so much rage. but i love it somehow... maybe because i share his hate for kwanro, that pitiful little bug.
but tbh i would prefer this trashtalk to not escalate further....
He has similar attitude as me Maybe it is called sensitive, especially when someone of lower skill level compare with stork.
It was something like... ermx.
!?!?!??!!! He is so noob shit!? And what's with the "Lose is nothing, as long as I win against stork " So talk big, I am one of the great player and you treat me as some cannon fodder to give you free win when you lose?
Stork interview is going all out, he wants to make him know his place!!! and the revenge match is make sure he is going slump!!!
