To be honest, as highly as I rate Flash and would like to get my hopes up, I don't expect him to be able to fundamentally change the TvP matchup after all these years. If his last couple of TvP games contain elements of this new strategy then it just seems to be about increased dropship usage. This impression could be completely wrong though. (My dream would be that he has figured out how to use bio effectively against protoss... but that's not going to happen.) Flash has probably innovated the scene more than any Non-Bonjwa player besides maaaaaaybe Bisu. If there's anyone who can change the tide of TvP, it's absolutely Flash. Hell he's the entire reason behind modern PvT. Watch him somehow obsolete Arbs like he did carriers and make Protoss cry delicious tears. :3 Anyhow, amazing interview! Between Flash and Violet, KT seems to be the best teams for entertaining and honest interviews.

As a Jaedong fan, I hope Flash takes a SL this season. Flash needs to catch up in title count, so that this rivalry is going to heat up again. OSL-Final JD vs Flash sounds good.

I won on televised matches, but the games were not indicative of my skill level. On the few occasions that I perform up to my practice games’ standards I mention it during my interviews. Regular fans don’t know much about the level of gaming that goes on in the practice room. Even now, I can’t play as well as I did during practice. If I’m to be blunt, I rarely lose during practice. It doesn’t matter whether I play my teammates, or even Bisu or Jaedong. I think if I play as well as I do during practice there’s no reason to be the underdog against these players. Q: Your display of skill on television is ridiculously high nonetheless. A: I think I am able to represent eighty to ninety percentage of my skill level. However, that ten percent difference is critical. It was especially so in my recent match against FBH. I was able to smile because my team won, but I was very unsatisfied with my game. People said that I played well, but I did not think so. Q: If so, were there any games that you were truly satisfied with afterwards? A: The come-back game against FBH was okay, and I was very happy with my performance in the GomTV Invitational finals back then. My match against Jaedong on Harmony was okay as well. I think the game I played against Mind on Othello displayed the full hundred percent of my capabilities. Reading this gives me goosebumps. I wonder if many other progamers experience similar decreases in skill when put in front of a television. Thanks for the translation, makes me excited to see how this year turns out.

He plays WoW more than Starcraft, watches Japanese animes while others contemplate build-orders for their next opponent, dates his cute looking girlfriend and once in a while practices Starcraft if he feels like it. Yet he somehow remains as one of the best protosses in the world for five years running. He has his life figured out. Bisu can go show off his probe control that he practiced for seven hours the day before only to get smashed to the ground by 1a2a3a hydralisk wave from Shine. Stork has this all figured out. When the maps get protoss friendly again, he'll probably add another silver medal to his already extensive collection. Thanks for the interview and this is exactly why I love Stork! In fact, I'd be happy to see him get another silver. Half the joy of being a Stork fan is seeing the Stork face!! I already got to orgasm once in my life watching Stork get the gold. No need for it again. My old bones probably couldn't take it anymore. But watching Stork take silver is like rewatching a favorite movie <3.

I'm always kind of surprised how well-connected Flash is. It's probably one of the reasons he's stayed so good despite being in the (previously pretty bad) KT. Apparently he's friends with Jaedong for TvZ practicing, friends with Fantasy and Leta for TvT practicing, and....well, nobody for TvP at the moment, so he needs to go befriend Stork and become truly unstoppable. I can't wait to see his new TvP style. I hope it's something brilliant that only a micro and macrogod like Flash can pull off, like two-muta control group Jaedong play.

A: Even now, although I lose to S-class players, I don’t lose too much to lower level players. It’s because I never underestimate my opponents. I do admit that there were periods during which didn’t practice too much. What with getting sick at times and getting my teeth straightened, there were times that I didn’t do as well as I could. But it’s all behind me now, and I’m ready to spread my wings and fly. Q: Do you have a role-model as a progamer? A: I don’t have one. I confessed a lot of things today. To be honest I gave a lot of phony answers during my time (laughs). However, Reach is my role-model as a person. He gets good reviews wherever he goes. I never once heard a person bad mouth him. Once there was a bad mannered team that wouldn’t stop to exchange greetings with Reach. So I said that I would do the same to them as well, but Reach scolded me for having that kind of an attitude. As a result I learned a lot about paying respect to one another and having good manners. That's pretty much why I think Idra won't do anything. At all. Best interview. Ever. Flash is modest, clever, and sensitive. It's the kind of person you would like to know personaly. I'm impressed by the difference of maturity between Flash / Jaedong and most other progamers that I have read. There really is a reason why theses guys are so good.
