I think contract renewal doesn't happen 1 year before it runs out. Also, the wording suggests (unless done purposely to fool you) that it's less than 1 year, but definitely more than 6months (around 9 months). Otherwise it would be "in a bit more than 6 months" or something along those lines.
He stated at some point that he still wants to be a pro-gamer at 30 (should the possibility arise). Therefore I believe his intention is not to retire (or at least he is undecided).
So basically, he didn't say anything...
Can someone confirm?

he's correct. and the wording suggests its just under a year, probably much closer to a full 12 months than 9, around 11 months and a few days is my guess, so probably still a while before re-negotiations. the only thing boxer did say for sure is "i can't tell you much" but that could be because he doesnt know for sure either, not because he wants to hide it from everyone else.

I don't claim to know facts about Boxer's situation. These are merely very logical assumptions based on the information of the interview.
I guess you figured as much anyway. I just wanted to reiterate that.

Thanks for the Boxer interview. Poor Boxer and that stupid Kespa FA crap.
Free Agent in BW isn't like how we usually think of it in other sports. It feels like in BW as a way to get rid of unfavored players, or make them be desperate enough to settle for lower wages than they should be earning. Doesn't help that the top management of the teams are also on the Kespa board.

well i can imagine boxer retiring if things go on like this.. he still seems to have problems with handling protoss players and they got alot bigger than they used to be (which is logical since he's struggling with any matchup). I think the main thing is his motivation though, so if it's really back then he can definitely make a comeback... problem is when reading interviews with boxer, savior and the likes in any interview they state they lost motivation but now its REALLY back... I fear its more a statement they make for the fans though, and not really the case >.<

2nd. Maybe they have something interesting to say about Boxer's victory and scheduled "retirement".
|
im guessing the year boxer speaks of is when his contract will be up?
|
I hope Hyuk had something to say about his recent success that's not the same boring polite answer.

boxer can be a playing coach or just be a manager of SKT.
really he can be any role in Esport. he is not just a legend but he fully understand every aspect of the game very good
|
when Boxer said " less than 1 year left", other than his contract, perhaps he was referring to the end of SC when SC2 came out.
I guess..
|
ho i believe when Boxer says he find the game interesting again, it's true.

I'm gonna keep a series of replay of BoXer'sgame, from now onwards.
