Sort of - they used part of one floor of an abandoned school in Mokdong. (I kid you not.) It was outfitted with the typical backstage rooms (press room, make up/waiting room and room for equipment/obsers.) plus one larger room for the studio itself. It was tailor built, but not for live audience attendance because there was only metal chairs set out (the same as the plastic temporary ones at OGN or MBC.) and you could fit a max. amount of 30 or so people in there. No one really ever attended it except foreign fans and some of the very hardcore fanclubbers.

I think Kespa is behind it more than they are letting on, and they are trying to make it look like they care about pro-gamers after all that Post-Jaedong FA bad press they got.

It was actually really pretty creepy at night. Also the downstairs toilets were so small you hd to use them sitting sideways.

This makes me sad. Gom really helped rekindle my love of starcraft (for the 123814795478th time) and it helped me introduce a lot of friends to the game, Tasteless' commentary really made it easy for people to get into the game. It's just a shame that Blizzard and Kespa have to butt heads like this.

KeSPA probably have their foot on this.

Flash had no other leagues to play in. He got ousted pretty quick last season.

I liked GomTV classic, but perhaps there is neither time for progamers nor enough audience to cover it. I mean, same thing happened at the time of GhemTV's Starleague, and eventually it faded out because the audience had their hands full with the other two Starleagues. And that's when PL wasn't as tight-scheduled as nowdays.

This is not good news, but at least I guess the quality of games in the OSL, MSL and Proleague will improve since players have one less tournament to practice for?

Hopefully, Gom will come up with something else instead. I kinda liked Tasteless and SuperDanielMan's castings

Yah but then the benches will get cold.

Still, it would be really nice to be able to see some B-teamer games to see future stars. I remember following Violet through Minor League and then seeing him do really well at the top level and it was great!

Don't flame me, but gun to my head i can totally understand the mentality of those teams. I mean it's already becoming more popular for a player to focus on proleague rather than individual leagues. So you really can't allow your Bisu or Jaedong or Flash to get into 3 leagues on top of proleague, and a lesser player would probably be more of an asset to the team if they practiced harder for the proleague as well.

On the other hand, it would be interesting if GOM just became a broadcasted version of minor league..

Shame anyways
