I thought he could actually communicate with others in English, at least to some degree. I think Tasteless mentioned that he was able to talk to Jaedong on an airplane and that he was really impressed by his English. Also he is supposed to be one of the progamers taking English classes. He is able to communicate with me just fine. We really put him on the spot here though and as with most Koreans who speak English, but are not involved in the ESL field or consider themselves fluent he's very shy about using it. I can't believe some people in this thread are complaining about this English abilities. As for everyone else who commented - thank you for the kind words of support. I will pass your sentiments on to Jaedong and Lomo in the near future. They seemed cheerful and enthusiastic about studying more English when I gave them their English studies books as a present for the first win of the season.

Did you tell JD about this site and the PR? I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that he is considered #1 in Korea by the foreign community

So does the progamers get alot of these things from their fans? I know that they sometimes get gifts on their birthdays eg., but a massive book like this that prob. took a work week to complete?

To be honest, I think it was meant more as an observation that criticism.

Plus there was a Korean introduction written by I10f on the card's front page. They usually get gifts of snacks, letters and other smaller things at each proleague. It depends upon how popular of a name you are how many presents you get. Important events such as birthdays, team achievements and title wins usually mean larger, more 'one-off' style gifts.
