Hey everyone. As you might've noticed, Zatic has been uploading a lot of FPVods from players here at TL.net, including players like Nony, Chill, Ret, to the nevake account.

I've also gotten the really nice benefit of being able to upload mine there too now, I'm really grateful for that, which means that I've put up a few older vods but I also made a new one.

Filefront kinda sucked in a way, because it'd delete my vods after a month or so, but now they'll be available pretty much whenever you want. Also, the nevake account doesn't have to split them up into parts, which is really neat.

Basically my new VOD has a lot to do with another new FPVod contributor here at TL.net (AnOth3rDAy) also known as "Stylish" on ICCup / Bnet.

It's a showcase of a certain build that Flash used against GGPlay in the MSL Preliminaries.

Stylish has done a really nice and in depth analysis of the build, where he explains everything bit my bit. It also includes an FPVod of it, the exact BO in text, and the replay of the game he played. Thread can be found Here

I guess it's kind of an overkill having me do a VOD of the exact same BO but It was all a big coincidence really, and Stylish was the one who taught it to me, which makes it even more funny. Basically I decided to upload it yesterday, and then few hours later I talk to Stylish on vent and he says hes done this in depth guide of the exact same thing

It's a game vs an actual human being though, so I guess it could be beneficial to see how the build order plays out in a real game.

Yeah, I've seen this build before. Problem with a 2 rax timing is that if you lose too many rines to muta during harrass the push becomes so much weaker. Oh and since you have fewer rines when you push it can get raped by a muta ling surround.

Great FPVOD btw

Thanks love watching your fpvods. I will watch both yours and anotherday's fpvods .

Question not related to your tvz vod. In tvp in the game on blue storm where you show off the flash build when do you know when to make your ebay after 2nd fact and when to make it after first fact?

It's all about what info you can get off your scouting in the beginning.

Like, If my scouting got shut down early, of if see something that indicates an all-in (no range, late expo, low unit count.. etc) i'll get my ebay down, usually at around 30-32 supply, definitely not later than 34 or it'll be too late and his dt's will tear your main apart.

If I see the opposite kinda, fairly high amount of goons, range, 1 gate, etc, then i'd probably add my 2nd factory before adding that ebay.

These are the general guidelines I usually follow.

Bear in mind that the TvP "Flash Build" vod on blue storm is fairly old, like 5-6 months at least, so some of the stuff I did in that vod is things I wouldn't do today. One easy example is that i'd pretty much never go for the FD Build on Blue storm, ever.

First of all, FD is slower than the 1 fact siege FE. Which means if you go FD, you'd want to be aggressive with that first initial army early on, hoping to inflict at least some minor damage. On BS, you have to run around the entire freaking map until you reach his main and there are tons of chokes in the way where he can pick of rines / vults. So basically you'll be delaying your expo for a small offensive force that won't be able to accomplish anything.

The only good thing about FD is what I think I mentioned in the VOD, that you can rely on mines + turrets rather than turrets only. FD can also be a good thing to just "throw" in 1 game out of 10 or even 20. Just because toss players are so used to that every terran does 1 fac siege so they'll be greedy and expand really early and then get caught with their pants down and realize you have 5-7 rines 1 tank 1 vult knocking on your door, and you just got your 3rd goon out.

I think Flash did that vs some toss on Medusa in PL not too long ago.

The Flash TvZ vod was nicely done. There's another "Flash build" which he does in a rep vs jaedong on Fantasy II. It's a pretty common build i think, so it's not really flash's. You get 3 groups of rines, 4 tanks and move out with your 1st vessel by the 10 minute mark.

Anyway, Merz i noticed that in the vod you hotkey your science vessel and tanks in the same group. Does this work well for you in Mid-game? because i absolutely hate it when zerg is sitting with burrowed lurkers and you attack them with unseiged tanks, and then they fly scourge in so you have to pull the vessel back and your tanks walk into lurker fire. I think i might start doin it.

I see in some replays of terran on blue storm going fd but make their cc a lot faster like around when they have two rines.

Usually, with my first mid-game push, I hotkey tanks only at 4, then tanks + vessles at 5.

That way if he has like 1-2 lurkers just trying to stall (and possibly trying to scourge my vessle while I take them out) It's a lot easier to control the tanks + vessles, and like you said, you'd be pulling both your vessle + tanks back so that they don't run into unecessary lurker spines when the vessle is gone.

And then whenever I want to siege them I just hit 4 O.

Yeah there are some variations to it but then again, I don't think it'd be the "FD push" rather just 1 fac mines. I mean you could go 1 fac and just skip that first tank and get vult + mines right away, which then is like almost faster than a 1 fac siege, but could be a little riskier. Because if the toss notices this, he'd just have to throw in like 1-2 zealots with his goons and he could clear all the mines and stall your expo or even win the game right there.

But I still think the 1 fac siege is the optimal way right now. You get that CC down before you even start a tank, and once the shop finishes you have enough money to get 1 tank + siege and sit comfortably behind your wall.
