Team Aarhus
I started off by getting there on Friday, as CSL allowed us to take some time to photograph the teams, and also so that they could get photos for their stream production. This provided a great opportunity to shoot the players somewhere other than just playing a video game, and allow the players to really show off their personalities

Players:
This also allowed the players to get a chance to speak to each other, and learn facts such as Aarhus University in Denmark was -10 (C) when they left; they enjoyed the 22 (C) of Los Angeles immensely.

In addition to this, the team league format of CSL allowed for some very entertaining photographs. As Day9 and Megumixbear were casting, the casting was basically the same as MLG, IPL, or any other major tournament in NA, and you could see that they were having a fun time casting some of the best collegiate players.

The difference however between watching professionals react to the strategies that they develop for their teammates that are playing on the main stage, and watching college stars…is immense, to say the least.

The UC Berkeley team, after

Washington then played their games…which you should read on kawaiiRice’s blog about their preparation (KawaiiRice's Blog: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=399187
) as I could never ever do it justice. Suffice to say, they walked in thinking that they were one of the best prepared, hardest working teams, and I don’t think they were quite able to demonstrate it. However, they did play their hearts out. After they ended up losing their games, they got to play some for fun games…which lead to some quite interesting strategies being used.

KawaiiRice…what? Hammertime
While these games were going on (and before as well), UC Berkeley was picking lineups, and receiving their matchups against Chunnam Technological University – which had two barcodes on their team -_- ||||||(P) and ||||||(T). Very KR.

Now, here’s something about shooting Korean teams. In general, they all look like this:

Even when they’re together, they look like this:

The rest of the story is told through pictures:

Honestly, This was the best starcraft 2 event in North America I think – I’ve been to MLG, IPL, NASL, WCG’s, Blizzcons, Launch Parties, Media/Press events, and Local LAN’s…and I think that this event had some of the best storylines, with some of the best pictures. Plus, suppy is a boss.
Special thanks to the CSL staff for putting on a great event (including League, in case you’re wondering what the random pictures at the end are) and thanks to the entire UC Berkeley team for making this a great event for me.
