Helped my roommate move out today. He graduated, so he's moving back to the Bay Area. I've known him since Freshman Year. He was a really good friend who helped me through some hard times. Really gonna miss him a lot. Now I'm tasked to look for someone else to live with. And I'm sure as all of you know, finding someone to live with that won't annoy the crap out of you after a month or two is hard work. I've already posted on my college website and Craigslist, anyone know of any other free places that might be good? I've tried some roommate sites, but the ones I've tried only really focus on people that pay for their services, and their free services are ass. And I've experienced that people you find on Craigslist aren't always someone you'll enjoy living with.
So I thought after my college website and Craigslist, I'd start asking for help from TL. Maybe someone here is near San Diego or knows someone near San Diego, or just some advise. The place is a 2 bedroom apartment, with 2 people living in each bedroom and 1 in the living room (currently looking to fill one of those 2 spots in the bedroom, my current room). The rent is $364.25 a month. Apartment has its own pool and a really nice gym. The beach and UC San Diego are a bus ride away, and the bus stop is a short walk away. I'm a fairly normal guy, love video games and esports. I watch movies, tv shows, and anime and read manga for fun. I play tennis and basketball to exercise, or just going to the gym.
I highly expect not to get any hits from TL, but at the very least, I'm hoping I might be able to find some good advice.

Just out of curiosity, is the apartment meant to be for 5 people? I would assume not given that there are 2 bedrooms. I ask this because I don't understand how an apartment, rated for 2 people is still $364.25/month when divided amongst 5 people (it must be pretty friggin good).
However if I'm wrong and 5 people are meant to be in there, then ignore this :D

And within walking distance of a bus stop? How exclusive. You said you wanted advice, here's some: go find somewhere cheaper to live.

2 people are living in each bedroom, 1 in the living room. 2 people x 2 bedrooms + 1 living room = 5 people.
The rent is 1767 a month for a 2-bedroom 2 bathroom. It's California, and furthermore, it's San Diego, so rent is a lot more expensive here. And in New York for that matter. The rooms are pretty spacey though, they can fit 2 beds and 2 desks and still have a bit of a common area.
The people in the bedrooms pay 364.25 and the one living in the living room pays 310.

Just asking, have you ever lived in San Diego, or any major city in California? Any place near the coast line/beach? Or New York? Do you say that with experience on what the rent is living in places like that?
I take the bus to UC San Diego every day, so it's a big plus to me, because college parking is expensive..

Hadn't heard about kijiji before. Already this topic is paying off. Thanks. Like I said, this topic isn't just about asking for a roommate, but generally advice on finding another roomate.

I lived there for my 3rd and 4th year at UCSD (moved out last july). We paid 2175 for 3 bedroom and let someone live in the living room as well. I think my rent was ~700 for the master bedroom. 
Gl finding someone to live with and make sure to join the UCSD starcraft group on facebook if you haven't already.

Already have, joined earlier in Winter quarter.
