ZvT Battle Report

The game starts off on Fighting Spirit. I'm at bottom right and hes at top right.

He opens 1 rax CC, while I go for overpool.
I'm trying to do different things in ZvT because I keep 12 hatching.

Upon seeing this, He proceeds to make a supply depot at my nat.
I was filled with rage.
Once I cleared it out, I expanded at my natural and put my 3rd hatch in my main while getting gas.
I go 3 hatch lurker but unfortunately he scouts my hydras so he prepares for a bust.

I can't bust, so I contain, if you can call that a contain.

So at this point he still hasn't attacked so I'm a little confused. I get a quick hive going double evo

Don't mind that drone saturation!

I check the front of his base and more or less this is what i see.

This guy is more turtle than Franklin

I conclude that hes going mech, so I make a spire finally at 12 minutes and get myself some mutars. Much to my delight it was like a lamb to the slaughter.

Your Defence is like E-fence, where is the D?


Oh wait...

Now we're both macro-ing, I'm getting drops and ultras and hes still being Franklin

That is really annoying
Not only does he harass my army, he sees that i have drops so he immediately prepares for it, so I don't drop.


Even this Sheep dog couldn't stop it


I pretty much throw ultra/ling at his mech army non stop until I bust his natural. He defended constant streams of lings with an Eraser on his ramp. (Note that it is around 19 minutes into the game)

The Aftermath...
I try a 2nd bust with muta/ling (Note that it is 25 minutes into the game.)

I find out that his transition was into cloaked wraiths...

Where have I seen this before?

Getting impatient i mass up more units preparing for another bust.

Third time's the charm
(Note this is around 28 minutes into the game)

Like the beaches at Normandy

At this point we're both trying to get our economy going. I'm trying to rebuild drones and He's trying to expand. I have <20 drones and he has 0 mining bases.
His cloak wraith/Vessel harass is painful but I live.

After about 8 minutes of harass, I finally dwindle his vessel and wraith count to negligible.
I wasn't sitting around for those 8 minutes! I was transitioning into the final stage.
THE END GAME ZERG

RAF got nothing on this

After killing his last mining base, he mounts an offensive. He counterattacks my natural forcing me to fly my air force back to defend.


The Master Bait



My entire fleet got caught in open ground and they got dismantled



With no army he proceeds to kill my mining bases on the right side of the map.
Luckily for me, that gives me time to make a muta/ultra/ling army and counterattack in an attempt to base trade.


Why can't I lift hatcheries?


After he kills my last outer base, he postures himself to attack my natural. Seeing this, I pull back my army that was killing his main and together with my 2nd army waiting in my natural, I flank him.


There is just too much.


He cannot hold!


Good game indeed

Thus concluding the longest ladder game I've ever played at (45:18).
What stuck out for me was, Several times throughout the game I thought to myself that I should just leave. However something inside wouldn't let me, and I kept playing. The moment my air force died, I really though I was screwed. I was pretty sure I was going to lose until he lifted his buildings when i counterattacked, and when he went to kill my outer bases after killing my air force. This is not the greatest game I've ever played, but probably one of the longer and weirder ones.

All the images were edited in paint so don't hate on the same design. Took me several hours to write this. I used 40 images. Hopefully you enjoyed reading/looking at this, as I tried to convey an entertaining story.
