I liked Savior's ZvP better when he was in his prime. Then Bisu came.

July still has like the best ZvP in the world even when his mechanics and game sense isn't at his best anymore. He's a total baller.

Savior's style was boring to watch. Turtle with sunk/spore/lurk until amassing enough gas to come out and rape with a ton of Hive tech units.

July on the other hand lays down the law and plays aggressively as hell and is entertaining to watch. Yet he still rapes.

dude saviors zvp was good probably the best in terms of sheer dominance but like no one can deny how fucking goofy it is that july is so old and fat but still has such a stranglehold in this matchup to a point hwere only 1 or two people could be considered a serious favorite againt him

That's the blandest way you could have described saviors style, and isn't even fully true -_-.

how would you have embellished said description of saviors style? he fucking championed the style of prophylactic zerg in which you just prevent toss from being aggressive and allow yourself to rape with ultralingswarm

Most of his games didn't get to that stage though. When they did ofcourse, he did use alot of static buildings more than other zergs, but earlier and mid game he knew exactly what he needed to do and was a genius at zvp then, it's just his style was more a management style while july was an aggressive zerg. Saying savior just sunk lurk spored and massed hive tech units is just describing some C- zergs.

July doesn't have the super power dominance of other ZvP titans, but he doesn't have any timing holes and he has a lot of experience. And he's fat and hungry. Last nights tuna was not enough. And it was a big fucking tuna.

July has just always been the best zvp, no matter how much he slumped, no matter how many years he played for, he still just rocks that shit big time.

I mean seriously, his bo5 zvp stats are what... 5-0 (15-3)? 3-0 best, 3-1 backho, 3-0 pusan, 3-1 reach, 3-1 nal ra (although I guess this could be discounted as it was just some all-star event)

like really what the fuck.

Casy did this same thing in his osl series.

http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/details.php?type=players&id=187&part=games&vs=all&league=10&map=any&from_year=2003&from_month=11&from_day=19&to_year=2009&to_month=7&to_day=7&action=Update

He just ran into zerg after zerg. If he had to play a decent protoss he probably would have lost.

July is straight up and down the best ZvP'er period. When people try to justify Savior as the best at ZvP, they mean back when he was in his "prime" or at his peak. Funny how July doesn't have a prime in ZvP cuz he's never slumped in the match up in his entire career. He came in, figured out the matchup, and never looked bad.

July played only ZvZ and ZvP in his Golden Mouse run, and Yarnc has been going through ZvZs and ZvTs this OSL, and he has always been a ZvT specialist.
