I had one of those random leg cramps last night. I just woke up 5min ago and it feels slightly less sore.

Would it be detrimental to workout my legs 4 hours from now?
(squat/deadlift mainly)

Or should I workout and just avoid anything dealing with calves?

man read the topic and was thinking it was the other cramps...

stretch them a lot to day. if they don't feel better before you lift I'd go with your gut and not lift.

Oh man the leg cramps hurt so much. I feel your pain, lol.

Like randomly at night I get that and then I start crying out loud half asleep saying "ah...ahhhhh...omg ><"

tugging on your meat and coming upon arrival can lead to affliction when in a recumbent position.

I hate the ones that occur while you are stretching and you can't get that full body stretch b/c the cramp behind the hamstring and/or the calve starts to cramp up....Oh god that shit sucks.

Edit: Try and stretch your muscle out a bit more before you work out today and avoid putting as much pressure until a few more workouts. At least I would think this would be the smartest thing to do.

Eat banana's, no joke, it'll actually help reduce cramps because of the potassium and electrolytes o.oa.

I'd give it a rest if I were you, but I'm no expert. If you still want to exercise at least take some magnesium, it will help prevent future cramps.

Potassium is an electrolyte. So is salt. And lots of other things ending in "ium".

the last time i had a night cramp was the night before a major swim competition (i flew overseas for it). my calf felt tender for the next day or two but it didn't cramp during any of my races. and do as everybody else says... go eat bananas.
