Would it be detrimental to workout my legs 4 hours from now?
(squat/deadlift mainly)
Or should I workout and just avoid anything dealing with calves?

stretch them a lot to day. if they don't feel better before you lift I'd go with your gut and not lift.

I hate the ones that occur while you are stretching and you can't get that full body stretch b/c the cramp behind the hamstring and/or the calve starts to cramp up....Oh god that shit sucks. Edit: Try and stretch your muscle out a bit more before you work out today and avoid putting as much pressure until a few more workouts. At least I would think this would be the smartest thing to do.
