I've never given my key to anyone and I bought it the day it was released at Best Buy. Now I have to send the case in to Blizz to get the key deactivated and get a new key. Oh well, at least there's iccup

i get crap like that all the time, mostly after my connection breaks, i just leave bw, re connect, and try again, if it still there, i reconnect again and it works, sounds basic but worth trying, maybe your key isnt jacked.

As a temporary solution you should keep your Starcraft bnet running at all times. It isn't like it is a significant drain on modern computers anyway. You'll be able to screw him back until you can get this all fixed up.

It's happened to me before. I'm on my third set of keys now, but I've been using this set for like five years. I've been unable to log in to bnet several times because of several different users, lol.
