Been looking at either the LG Cookie or LG Viewty.

Which is better? Or if so, are there other any viable alternatives? My budget is around $200-$300 AUD.

Looking for something cheap but with a touch interface/Qwerty Keyboard (I hate Keypads).
EDIT: Oh, phones with Wi-Fi around that price range are a plus.

Got it for 20k won on Childrens Day sale lololol. Shit is literally as thin as your ipod nano.

I don't like the cookie. To be honest all Korean Touch Screen phones are bad because it's so fragile. Viewty kinda feels like the new Prada phone, and the new Prada Phone is decent. But it suffers from the same downsides of all korean phones; too fragile.

I would take the Viewty. Unless you wanna play cooking mama, then take the cookie

yeah its really good. Battery Life is amazing, unless you're surfing the internet. Then you're fucked D:

The Black Red models don't sell in korea anymore, because Korean 'people' complained red was a color of death, so they removed the red haha. My girlfriend bought the black slim too, but her phone has no red in it lolol

I had LG Cookie for a while but sold it. Actually pretty good and solid phone but battery was not working long enough for me, it was something like 2 days or so and I hate writing SMS` on a touchscreen, it's just too slow and waste of time :\

Why would you spend so much money on a phone? You're essentially texting and making calls.

Get a 150ish Samsung or Nokia phone. You can get a nice looking phone and not spend that extra 50 to 150.

I think Samsung has something called the PIxon that's comparable to the Viewty. Don't know if it's cheaper, though.

I really advice you a Samsung, I don't really like LG even if they do good models sometimes.
With 280 USD, you can find something tactial and really sweet and solid.
I have an Anycall, it's only in Korea but try to find kinda same. only touch. I think you can have kinda approximative model maybe?
I have MBCGame on this phone, in subway travel thats cool to watch!

Nokia E71. Possibly the most useful mobile electronic device I have ever purchased. I use it for everything from checking mail to SSHing into a server to IRC while on the bus. t_t Should be around the price range you said, especially if purchased on a plan.

Edit: Qwerty - check, Wifi - check.

I didn't say buy a 35 dollar go phone or some shit, I said why go for something that much more expensive when you can get a nice phone that has the two main aspects you'll be using and may possibly have the extras you want.

If you want to spend 200-300$ just get an iphone, if you dont like them i personaly would go with the android phone from google. I like it.

iPhone is not a waste of money ._____.

It was able to do SC2 coverage until NDA-man came.

Uh... of those two, the Viewty is superior. However, I don't think LGs are that great.

it lags when u get a lot of text messages like say
one after another i dont really know why and its not that good anyways
cool applications though like drawing on pictures and whatnot
