So I remember him casting wcg a few years ago, but what I don't get is how he has suddenly boomed into such fame. Comparetively, I see more vods done by huskystarcraft on youtube than tasteless.

From what I recall, GOM (I assume) saw him at WCG 2006 and they offered him a job.
To prevent confusion, read below for potentially more accurate answers.

I make a petition asking for him to be sent to korea a few years ago. I take 100% credit for his success, NO ONE else can share it.

A.) Good english commentators are rare
B.) He has a good voice
C.) He adds entertainment value to the game -- like good commentators should

Although he seems a bit sobered ever since Daniel became his partner.

D) He actually knows how to play this damned game, unlike a certain website and their individuals.

i think this is because he's been doing this for quite some time. a lot of people start off really energetic and full of enthusiasm when they first start a job, and then as they get accustomed to it, that passion fades a little bit. it's not gone, it's just not as much as before because the experience has become routine rather than something new. im not sure if SDM had any affect or not on this change, though.

This is possible, although I think when he was with Susy the atmosphere was much more loose and he kind of just did he own thing.

SDM is kind of intimidating being a SC coach and being so hardcore about the games -- so I think tasteless is trying to be more professional

ESPORTS always works to improve the community. but who would you even send that petition to? imagine a letter that says

To: KOREA

SDM might be rubbing off on tasteless a little bit, but tasteless is definately affecting SDM more. They are sooo laid back.

When watching games he casts I often have a feeling he's taking it very seriously.
And he hates to be interrupted because it may mess up with his commentary and other stuff he says.

I mean before it was his job there was like 1 big event a year to show his skills and limited number of games to cast + he wasn't paid...?
That meant his life wasn't depending on that and he didn't have to come up with new cool narrations every week, words to mostly express his feelings about certain players like for example during one WCG he said Hwasin(? VS Draco game?) rips hearts out of nerds' chests and eats them.

Later it became his job and after some time I believe it struck him how much was depending on how he casts.
I remember S1 Intel Classic games when he was muttering something to the mic that no one could understand.
He started to look kind of awful too.
How computer games players aka nerds are viewed mostly outside of Korea had to have impact too. He said (during his interview with SK Carmac for example, during WCG in Seattle?) that at some point he will go back to college but I think he knew then already that's most probably not true.
Can you see him going back to US especially now, few months before SC2 comes out?

@OP I'm not sure why are you looking for VODs he casted on You Tube when there are 2 completed seasons of games he casted on gomtv.net and 3rd is underway?

I really. Don't. Get. SC2GG. Hatred.
Maybe that's because I'm noob myself but I don't remember anything in particular to make fun of them.

I'd take this opportunity to kindly point out the fact that nowhere was SC2GG mentioned in my previous post.

Is there any other "certain website and its individuals"? I've never heard about someone from gg.net commentating and this is the only other SC site that comes to my mind.
