+ Show Spoiler + Draconian, you've probably heard of them before, but next to swallow the sun, they are my favorite doom metal band Daylight dies, a awesome american band Saturnus Slumber Septic Flesh, when i first heard their name, i was like WTF ? I thought it was some god awful grind band, but they are actually awesome, they craft godlike melodies and have a guitar tone i just love, heres a tribute with some of their best work. Doom:Vs, a solo project from Draconians singer, its basicaly Draconian but more doom and heavy. By far my favorite genre of metal, ive got a ton of bands from the genre. | ||

Swallow the Sun is finnish and OK doom metal, but don´t listen to it that much. Orphaned land is pure awesome, I listen to it sometimes and introduced it to my brother too. Eluveitie is is Swiss and they use some old instruments in their music, don´t know that much really. Don´t know Dark Lunacy but I can just say: WTF ! You say you don´t know Apocalyptica! Apocalyptica I heard that Elvenking is pretty much old school power metal :D And Alestorm I have heard somewhere, I guess you might like Turisas? Turisas Oh god I´m kinda marketing finnish powermetal now and I don´t really even like it that much But I like Amorphis :D = Kalevala Metal And yeah, my UG bands: Bal Sagoth ( This is.... ummm... kinda weird?) A Tale from the Deep Woods Chet Atkins ( There´s no words...Epic Stuff) Mr Bo Jangles Dozer The Rising | ||

You should check out Arcturus, I don't think any band comes close to matching them in their....atmosphere. | ||
