After my last blog post regarding SNSD's new song, I thought I would bring some, this time sad, news to the TL community regarding SNSD. Originally, scheduled to be released on 25th June, the mini album will now be released on 29th June. This is due to the fact that the album cover

features a plane on it that apparently looks like a Japanese kamikaze bomber during WWII. What with Dokdo and other historical controversies surrounding Japan, netizens jumped on this, causing SNSD to have to delay the release. Furthermore, there have been allegations that the hats the girls are wearing look like Nazi hats.
Never fear, the next song, Etude will be released on the 25th and the girls will still appear on music bank this Friday.
ASDF but it's cool, this weekend already has something big coming-the English version of Nobody by the Wonder Girls will be released. Let's wish sohee, sun mi, sun ye, yoo bin, and ye eun good luck as their tour kicks off!!!

Yes, sad news indeed, but the MV for Genie is still going to come out on the 26th and they're still doing their comeback on 26,27,28th and I'll be covering in those if you don't mind

Sadly, I don't think the Wondergirls will make it in the US music industry. They're Asian and they're not as hot as SNSD. Worse of all, they can't even speak english well.

White people have strange standards for asian women anyways. As long as the songs aren't bad I think they can make it.

So people are still touchy as hell for no reason. Most of the people who will buy the CDs won't care or even know what the plane stands for. I might be wrong, though.

Yeah that is true, but there are still people who are sensitive by the Korea-Japan WW2 era. Most of the younger generation don't really care about it since it's the past and they look forward to moving on.

But the songs are bad. The previews are hideously bad because they have this HUGE accent when singing in English. Big no no for a lot of people.

Looks similar to the Luftwaffe pilot badge, but not entirely. And the aircraft looks like a Mitsubishi Zero..... Thats about it.
