even if the random generator was completely random do u noe how probability works? u would get 1/3 for one Z and 1/3 for another which makes it 1/9 (= 1/3 * 1/3)

You're operating under assumption that the random-race thingy for Starcraft is actually random. It probably isn't.

Fusion's probably right.

Wasn't there also a TvZ where july picked terran on some nuetral building map and did an epic 7 sunken break with MnM ? i made a gif for it.

That was July that picked T against a Z...I don't remember who the Zerg was, but I do believe the map was Araknoid or Neo Araknoid.

This is interesting, though. I didn't think the players had any obligation to stick to a particular race; I thought they could pick whatever they wanted on the spot...lol. I imagined the only thing barring them was the competitive climate which begged for them to play with their best at their best for every game.

I remember someone said that there used to be an old rule about races (like you couldn't use the same race twice in a row or something?)

Someone posted in BroodWar a while back with that VOD, so yeah, it's definitely out there.
