Spoilers ahead.

I watched this two days ago with my friends, man this is such a great movie.

I'm a sucker for anything with good plot/storyline, so this movie ended up being on my 'one of the movies I have to re-watch list' this year.

A few of my friends who read the book said the story was different from the book, so it's more appropriate for me to see how the movie fared (like how I rate Harry Potter movies badly because I've already read the book and know how much content they missed out).

They did very well with the background music, right from the start. Plot was good, scenes were beautiful (those helicopter shots of the city was awesome, especially the night view), there was LHC featured (fuck yeah anti-matter), conspiracy stuff everywhere. This movie was just great.

Only little complaint was how bad the CG was at certain scenes. This one scene I remember, where Robert and Vittoria enters this dome-shaped building. Obvious CG was obvious >__>

Anyone else watched the movie? What do you think of it?

+ Show Spoiler [Just saying...] +
Edit: I'm not anti-Christian or anything (a few people asked me this when I went to watch Harry Potter =.=". I even attend a Christian school roflmao) No religious conflicts here thanks!

I read the book. Typical Dan Brown, good story, shitty writing. I guess if you watch it in movie form, you eliminate the bad writing, right?

Guess so, my friends said it's quite different from the book. And I don't know about Dan Brown's writing style either, but isolating just the movie, it's pretty god damn good.

it was pretty good, i'd recommend it. i'm not sure why your friends said it deviated from the book a lot though. in my experience it was closer than a lot of other book-to-movie adaptations. yeah they cut out the whole guy visiting CERN part, and the cern dude on the wheelchair but they got around it nicely with the key or whatever it was and hidden cameras

like almost all book-to-movie flips though, i'd recommend watching the movie before reading the book :p

That eyeball scene was D:

That ending was well done, I somewhat guessed that Camerlengo would be the one puling the strings, but the way they delivered it still caught me off guard.

they solved the puzzle (4 churches i.e. 4 dead cardinals) so early into the movie (when it was so much later in the book) so it became really boring as you know that 4 will die and you are just waiting for the last one to die.

again the ending was pretty far off.

great movie if you never read the book, but if you read it its more -_______-

I haven't watched the movie, but I have to agree with Zoler. This was probably Dan Brown's best work, unfortunately he's been producing relatively crap ever since.

They made it a little bit too melodramatic for my tastes, and shoved too much visual stuff in your face like "WOAH OMG LOOK AT THIS RELIGIOUS SYMBOLISM COOL RITE?"

The book was entertaining, so I 'm hoping the movie is as well. Then again, The Da Vinci Code was an entertaining book, and the movie made me wanna puke my guts out. Hopefully this time around it's not like that. :p

I read the book so long ago that I didn't remember what happened in the end. So the ending with the twist with Camerlengo was really surprising. Before they revealed him as the bad guy, the part where he goes up in the helicopter is so sad! D: but then he lives! :D but then it turns out he's bad =(.

We got a free Fantasy t-shirt (Mum kicked Devil Bunkie's ass at rock-paper-scissors.) and I won some Kraze Burger vouchers in the box raffle. It's weird because I never win stuff usually! T1 is awesome.

Funny how I watched this last night with a friend. This movie isnt terrible to the point you want to get out of the cinema and leave and has some nice buildings and effects. I didnt really like the movie as I didnt like also da vinci code which was the 1st one. Why I didnt like it?? Tom hanks in every problem/riddle has the answer immediatly. Also the fact he always turns his head and finds a clue was pissing me off so much. For example the scene where he is watching this mickey mouse watch and he takes a look at it and then observes underneath it and starts solving the god damn thing. Or at the end where the girl wants back the journal and Tom Hanks get up and goes at the computer which ends the movie in a total different way. Anyhow I would rate this film a 6/10 and definetely not ever gonna watch it. I mean why watch it 2 times when u know exactly whats going to happen....

Because of the graphics

But yeah, I agree that part was slightly annoying. But it wasn't all that bad, him being a professor in that field and all.

Reading the book meant the movie missed a lot of the points conveyed in the book.

Also the science made me cringe. They basically said God particle = antimatter. =.="
