lol he reminded me that i wanted to post these panoramas i took in stockholm when i went in january to visit pyrogenetix

hope u like them! i dont have a proper panoramic lens or anything just used my little digital camera to take these and stitched together in photoshop :D

it was sooo coold then omg lol -_- UK winter was nothing compared to it hahah but overall fun and pyro made + taught me how to make sushi! :D

Stockholm is gorgeous. i would recommend just strolling around in gamla stan (the old parts of the city) and Djurgården. Also - don´t miss out on the food - the swedish kitchen is actually very good compared to alot of other european countries.

The problem with those pictures is that you neither have any snow nor have any leaves making the city quite dull compared to the more beautiful seasons.

I think you should crop the bottom half out of the second one. The boats and all that aren't very interesting with their monotone color. The top half draws the eye, but the lower half is just distracting...:\

I really like the third one, though. The change in color tone in the distance compared to the foreground works really well there. The rather dull and monotone foreground frames the glowing and golden distance, really drawing you in.

Pictures simply don't do Stockholm any justice. Don't know why. But I get the impression all the water and the distances aren't very... photogenic. In a way I agree with EatMe's post. The pictures don't look all that impressive.

But in real life the impression you get is very different. The city sort of overwhelms you. Water... everywhere. Islands with habitation... everywhere.

Really recommend you to visit in the summer time.

Yeah, agree on that. IMO Göteborg has a more industrial, less touristic feeling. Also, it's the goddamn metal capital of Sweden (In Flames, The Haunted, Dark Tranquility, Soilwork etc.) which makes it almost impossible to top!
