Update 2009-06-24: DANCE DANCE PL
"If this don't make your booty move, your booty must be dead".
Featuring Nu Skool Breakz, Big Beat, Electronica, Techhouse and more.
That's what this playlist is about, enjoy!
I especially like Plump DJ's - Scram, Westbam - Hard Times, Slyde - Frequency (NAPT mix) and the Daft Punk - Aerodynamic remix. Oh and I did that Members of Mayday mix myself, it totally sucks but I decided to still include it for good ol' times sake.

Update: new playlists!
Hey,
my girlfriend and I decided to make a music blog to keep track of what the other one likes to listen to atm.
The blog is public so if you guys are in need of some new music check out the blog and maybe you'll find something you like.
We cover all kinds of different genres, so there should be something for everyone.

My new playlist May 28th 2009:
01 My Vitriol - Deadlines: My Vitriol is a pretty unknown alternative-postmodern-emoish-angsty-rockband from... somewhere in Scandinavia. Back in the days there was a time when I was a big fan. I have kinda grown out of it but I still dig this particular song. A good, powerful opener.
02 The Knack - My Sharona: Hahaha, My Sharona. This track is so fun, good mood +200% instantly.
03 Blur - Out of Time: Oh my god, I LOVE Blur. They're genius. Recently I've been listening to all their albums and this song in particular is one of my favorites.
04 Beastie Boys - Bobo On The Corner: It's an interlude song, just put it in to give some credit to the good old Beastie Boys.
05 The Break - Accelerate: Owww, sudden change in style here. I like Drum'n'Bass. I know it takes some time to get used to because it sounds overly aggressive and fast at first but this track will make you dance your brains out, if you allow it to.
06 Ed Rush & Optical - Rock da house: Another great D'n'B Track. I put them in a row so you can conviently skip them if you're not into it at all. I'd really recommend to give it a try though!
07 Nujabes - Aruarian Dance: OK, time to chill out. This is the track you need when you're sipping a Margarita on Hawaii.
08 Velvet Underground - Here she comes now: 60's alternative rock at its best. I got to know it from some bizarre Nirvana cover.
09 Muse - Recess: Yeah, everyone loves Muse. I'm no exception. I picked this song because it's not so well known and is one of their best in my humbler than humble humblinificent opinion.
10 Bob Marley - Redemption Song: Best song he ever wrote. Classic.
11 DJ Shadow - Organ Donor: I don't think anyone could NOT like this song. Noone can resist that beat.
12 The Spinto Band - Oh Mandy: I actually got this song from my beloved kitten. Really like it : )
13 The Notwist - Consequence: I checked out most of the songs from the Notwist because a friend of mine had a collaboration project with them and I wanted to know what they're like. This is the song I liked the most.
14 Brad Mehldau - Exit Music: Brad Mehldau is a Jazz Pianist who seems to be fond of Radiohead. This cover is the best Radiohead cover I've ever heard. Even better than the original.
15 Special Goodness - Lo-Fi: I have a special relationship with this song because we used to cover it a lot with my old band. Nobody knows the Special Goodness because it was some side project of Weezer's drummer Patrick Wilson, who composed the songs and also played most of the instruments. Really like the band though, he writes interesting songs.
16 Smashing Pumkins - Landslide: Wow, Billy Corgan can't sing at all. The song is great nonetheless. Good lyrics and composition. Originally by Fleetwood Mac (I think?)
17 자우림 - Hahaha Song: The obligatory Korean song. The lyrics are about cheering up, and that's exactly what the song does: cheer you up!
18 Time between Dog and Wolf (OST) - Childhood: OST song from some Korean drama. Very kitschy song but I just couldn't resist. Listen to the part from 00:58 to 01:34. The most beautiful chord progression known to mankind, it gets me everytime.
19 RJD2 - The Proxy: Cool track, think you know it already kitty!
20 Blur - You're so Great: Another Blur track. Wonderful song. I like it because the chorus eloquently sums up why I want to be with you: "cause you're so great and I love you".
21 Death Cab for Cutie: Still can't get over this song. Remember how we listened to it on the radio? That bassline just hypnotizes me.
Her new playlist:
00. Diplo vs. Santogold - Shuv It! // thought it'd be a good intro due to its short- and knackig-ness.
01. Moloko - Bankrupt Emotionally // a very good tune.
02. Passion Pit - Cuddle Fuddle // "Sleepyhead" had me all hooked, and I am a big time fan for falsetto, too! Passion Pit does work it so well!
03. Towa Tei ft. Miho Hatori - Mind Wall // I thought I add Towa Tei since I went to one of his sets on the weekend, but this track is also a really good one.
04. Lady Gaga - Summerboy // I am SO embarassed to have Lady Gaga in my PL! But this one track is so summery and lalalala. Catchy? Her voice reminds me of Gwen Stefani in this, which is never bad.
05. Anita Ward - Ring My Bell // I am currently all into cheap disco. Will be over soon, I feel it. Let's get it on!
06. Animal Collective - Taste // remember how we wouldn't listen to Animal Collective except for "Fireworks", because we thought their album was crap? Ok, now I listened to it and recommend you to do as well! Merriweather Post Pavillion is really beautiful in a way I cannot put my finger on. Their sound is ephemeral and light, though still earthy and organic. Ha! Here's to making sense!
07. Los Microwaves - Time to Get Up! // EPICEST! I love that track SO much. Hahahaha, "you shouldn't have let me go to sleep if you wanted me to get up!!!"
08. 9mm Parabellum Bullet - Suna no wakusei // summery.
09. The Flying Lizards - Move on Up // another Disco-song from one of those mysterical PLs you sent me.
10. Röyksopp - Were You Ever Wanted // I told you Röyksopp is omni-present. So mean lyrics, tho!
11. Yonderboi - Soulbitch // I just discovered it, and it's SUCH a good song! Definitely hear it out, 'cause it starts sinister, but it gets better and better and really groovy in the end.
12. Birdy Nam Nam - Manual for Successful Rioting // this one's SO good, too. Gets faster without you even noticing by building itself up to a funky finale.
13. Mr. Oizo (ft. Uffie) - Steroids // just for kicks! And because you will have the other song on your PL I think.
14. Shivaree - Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough // I love good covers. Actually, delete this after dl-ing the PL, I don't want it on anymore...
15. Phantom Planet - Do the Panic // nothing too special, but I like it anyway.
16. Asian Kung-Fu Generation - Siren Part II // my fave song of theirs atm.
17. John Legend (ft. Andre 3000) - Green Light // this is the one I told you had such rubbish raps, tho I like Andre 3000.
18. The Go! Team - Keys to the City // if you know the song, you know why it's up!
19. Telefon Tel Aviv - You are the Worst Thing in the World // Telefon Tel Aviv is a new discovery of mine, soooo good sounds! Like a less mainstream A-Ha remixed by Trentemoeller. Immolate Yourself's the title of the album.
20. Datarock - New Days Dawn // I'm so surprised how their new album is so much slower and softer than their self-titled one before! A bit sad, but not too bad. This song is the right tune for riding the bike into the sunset.
