So,
Here we go, just bought my ticket to watch Lamb of God in Paris in 6 weeks. Can't wait ~~
I know many people dislike the band here, but I've been listenning to "ashes of the wake" and "new american gospel" a fucking lot lately, I hope it's gonna be great.
Being in a metal mood, I'm kinda looking through European Festival. I've never been to Download or Wacken and everytime I watch a Youtube video, I think I have to do it once in my life. I checked the line-ups and well, nothing too sexy this year in my opinion, or perhaps my Metal Knowledge sucks.
I wonder where you guys gonna go this year (if you listen to Metal).
If you know some sick bands I should go watch on Tour this summer, please drop the name in the comments, I really want to discover new stuff (favourite lately: DevilDriver).
Regards!
I know incontrol opened a thread in the same trend, that's why I did a blog and not a forum entry. If you search for metal bands on the forum, there has been no new discussion for quite a while. Don't flame !

i saw a poster for this band in a girl's room when i visited shanghai. I think its a really badass name. Never heard them though since I am more of a prog rocker.
as The Bible* says: " Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the Earth"
*+ Show Spoiler + "The Bible" was an allegory written many years ago by followers of J. Christ, an ancient mystic with a lot of fans. It's teachings provided the substrate on which the dominant mythology and world views of Europe and the Americas grew and continued to thrive throughout the subsequent age.

Gonna see Lamb of God in Munich in July; :D

Lamb of God is terribly overrated, imo. I find them really boring. :\
Wacken this year isn't as good as it has been in years past, it seems. Though I'd go just to see Amon Amarth headline. I have no idea what Airbourne is doing up there, though...they're a decent band, but they're like a throwback to AC/DC and all them...not what I'd call metal.
Epica, Gamma Ray, GWAR, Hammerfall, In Flames, Nevermore, Subway to Sally and Testament are all pretty good bands, though. There are a few others I have yet to try, however (Cathedral is a big name that I've never checked out, for instance).
Wacken is also one of those festivals I want to go to before I die.
Download has a mix of really bad and really good bands, this year. I would go to the Sunday show just to see Dream Theater, though Friday does have Opeth and Meshuggah. IMO, those two deserve the main stage a LOT more than Limp fucking Bizkit and Korn... -____-.

is that the tour with children of bodom yejin?
my sisters went to that show in edmonton, they said it was bad fucking ass

Do they tour with Bodom ?
I've seen Bodom 2 years ago, a tourney called unholly allianced, the line-up was:
- Gojira - Lamb of God - Children of Bodom - In flames - Slayer
Pretty sick line-up to be honest but the show was very bad. Gojira and Slayer were the top performers with Bodom and In flames being VERY BAD. Lamb Of God were decent.

They are easily one of the worst 'metal' bands. I absolutely can't stand them, but I hope you have fun anyway.
AMON AMARTH IN TWO DAYS FOR ME YAY
|
I will be going to the Wacken where both Morbid Angel and Kreator are playing. :D
if it happens~

I really don't understand what is so bad in LoG and so good in Amon Amarth. I tried to listen to it but.. didn't work :>

Happens
To me, LoG is just too "chugga chugga rawwwwwwwwwr" and generic for my tastes. they're the Linkin Park of 'metal'. ;p

I love both Amon Amarth and Lamb of God. Yay me!
When I saw Lamb of God live (probably 2-3 years ago) it was epic.
