I always enjoyed the big slides when I was younger. Now that I'm older and fatter I am sure I can haul ass down some of those slides. I haven't been on one since I was 11-13 y/o. Seems like you really enjoy having a good time with your family and I admire that. I usually don't visit any local fairs or even the State Fair just for the fact that it cost an arm and leg. Last time I had been to the State Fair here was 3-4 years ago and I believe I ended up spending over $80 bucks on entrance fee/a few rides/funnel cake just on myself. By the time its all said and done I woulda had a better/cheaper time just going to Six Flags, but not everyone has that option(I live close to a Six Flags). . My friend told me once that going to fair's is like going to a white trash theme park. Which I find kinda true but fun nonetheless.

Hahah yeah it is white trash.We spent about a hundred dollars would have been more but we went on 2dollar day.2 bucks admission and 2 dollar parking.We also bought some tickets 10 rides for 10 dollar deals so we ended up with 60 rides for 5 of us which was plenty.

I wish we had some amusement park near here,Everything is at least 8 hour drive to get to a sixflags or disneyland etc.

The state fair parking runs around $10 bucks just to park near the fair. Oh yea poor Houston got owned. I remember the Six Flags there wasn't all that great but it held its own. I never knew it got replaced by a mall though.
