So right now, for some reason I haven't figured out, it seriously smells like shit in my town...or sulfur...or something, but it's a pretty bad smell. I woke up this morning to use the bathroom and I noticed it smelled like shit, but I just figured that my dad probably took a dump before I woke up. So I opened some more windows around the house to air out the smell...but it just made it stronger. Then I realized after going outside and walking around a few blocks, that the smell is everywhere.
Which sucks because now I can't think of a way to air out the smell and I have to put up with it. I have some air fresheners, but that just makes the air smell like flowers on top of shit...which oddly enough actually smells worse. I have no idea what the problem is or how long it'll last...I just hope it goes away soon T.T
Edit: not really sure why I'm posting this, just venting because it's frustrating. Like when you're in a car with a friend and they fart and keep all the windows closed because they have those power window things, except this time I have no idea who to be annoyed with.

um is there a new plant in your town or something?
There's a refinery about 10 miles away, but I figured if something went wrong over there I'd have heard something on the radio or something.
Nah, my dad smells it too, and so did my neighbor.
Could be something from the sewers...
Do you live in New Jersey?
I think your 2 days away to suffer from a new strange disease and all your town will be eliminated.
. . .
Any fire near your town? I know I got this same strange smell when their was a huge woods fire pretty far away from my town but all the sky went yellow and the smell was pretty bad.

It's the Illuminati and the underground lizard people using gases to mind control and brainwash your city.

Hey, why does that sound familiar to me? Gah, mind-boggling

Does it somewhat smell like rotten eggs on top of the sulfur? If it does, then there's probably a natural gas leak somewhere. Natural gas originally has no odor, but they add the smell of sulfur/rotten eggs so people can tell if a pipe is leaking or messed up.

Normally what this means is a serial killer has been burying corpses all over town. Congratulations, your city is going to be on the news as soon as they catch him/uncover some mangled remains!

lmao this is so weird. i got off of work today and smelled something in the air like old tomatoes or something and still smelled it in my neighboorhood 5 miles away

Rotorua in New Zealand smells like sulfur because of all the geothermal activity.
There's a Sulphur Creek that runs through my town, and various thermal features (Colter's Hell). On bad days, you can smell it over the smell of the rodeo grounds.
That's kind of weird, man. And no one has figured out what it is? No local news stations have talked about it or anything?
You'd think someone would make mention if suddenly the whole town smelled.
Well it actually isn't my whole town. I decided to walk a bit further, and the smell goes away after about half a mile. So the smell is only around a few blocks. I haven't heard any official word, but my neighbors are saying a sewage line broke somewhere. Also the smell seems to have gone away a bit, so either the problem is getting fixed (whatever it is) or I'm just getting used to the smell now =/
