[request] Nice composers to work to

Daveed United States236 Posts March 15 2009 16:32 GMT #1 Hey guys, I'm looking for some music to listen to when I do work. Mostly in the classical vein. I'm pretty much a noob about classical music, so I don't really know much anything about composers and music. Right now, I'm finding that Beethoven pieces and Yiruma work very well, but I want to know if there's anything else that works for you guys, or that you would suggest. Any thoughts?

yoshtodd United States418 Posts March 15 2009 19:22 GMT #6 Maybe Mozart piano sonatas/concertos. Handel's "Water Music" is nice and calm. Bach's music supposedly rouses and stimulates the brain. I like Sergei Prokofiev... he really puts a lot of emotion and romanticism into his music, so if you're doing creative writing or something that might be good. Just experiment, with the internet all the music is at your fingertips for free.

Beethoven's probably too emotional and heavy for working...distracting =P But his piano sonatas are always nice to listen t. Some Liszt piano stuff could be nice.
