I was going to make this after 50 games but I forgot.
I started playing starcraft against human opponents 9 days ago. I've had an account here for a little over 2 months and have been familiar with starcraft for slightly longer, but I only had the game on my laptop, which is a mac. I was unable to use the iccup launcher and I torrented the game so I didn't have a CD key I could use for bnet, so I just screwed around with the campaign and against computers and watched replays.
I was eventually motivated by a thread here to download the game on my family's pc so I could use the iccup launcher, and it's been a lot of fun. So far I'm 16-35 (some wins against less than great people) and my meager 50-60 apm has risen to a still meager 70-80. If anyone wants to play a few games my iccup ID is the same as my name here and I'm protoss.

Good luck with your iCCup adventures. All beginnings are tough and you're decent considering you haven't played any longer. Keep it up at you'll hit D+ and above in no time - trust me, I speak from experiences

Hi! 16-35 is a very good record for someone's first 9 days of playing human opponents on iccup. In fact, it's incredible. Check out channel discipline for D level players (type /join discipline). Great job, keep it up!

I would have guessed it to be more something like 1-49 or 2-48 for someone's first 50 games against a human played on ICCup

Nice, you're getting wins, your apm is going up and you're having fun (which is the most important part). Doing very well just keep it up!

wow - that's a phenomenal record for just over a week's experience. the worst players on iccup are usually still above average on the bnet gateways, so being able to take games off of them is great! keep up the progress =]

I'd be very surprised if you really got that record after 9 days.
But if you did you'll probably be pro in about 3 months, so good for you

nice job, keep it up =] r u a terran player? if yes, i can watch reps with u (assuming u want ofc). feel free to add Presony-Boy @ ICCup. im a C+ terran user btw.

Yeah I was really surprised too. Even for a protoss, that's quite impressive lol

message me to play whenever we usually have 1-15 people on iccup in the channel "discipline" relaxed atmosphere. good instruction. pm me or just whisper "disc.omninmo" (my ID)

How you can have 16-35 at 80 apm is beyond me. Way impressive. ^_^

Everyones being supportive and you have to remind people and give them the idea... nice...
Anyway that's really good for anyone on there first try at ICC. Keep up trying and in no time you'll have positive records .

wow VERY impressive. 9days and 16-35. keep on playing a lot and you'll become really good in no time

wow dude your a fucking stud.
I have been a gamer my entire life and when I picked up broodwar (back in 1999) I lost my first 15 or so games on battle.net. Let alone iccup which doesn't have people going cannon/scout every game ^^.
Good job.
/m get.attackzerg on iccup if you ever have a direct question about skillsets you need to work on or map based strategys.

Wow, I didn't think my record was that impressive.
I'll definitely check out the Discipline channel.

I almost cried when I read that record... then I continued on to read that you play protoss and I didn't feel so bad.

Yeah Good Job Man. Your record proves your given a very decent effort into this. Good job. I remember the hardest APM jump for me was from 90 to 120... I sit happily at about 170-200 now.
