But when you get to see bits of the actual person (or at least you deduce them from the person's behavior within the community) and see nothing more than someone incredibly rude and insecure, with a ton of stubbornness attached it becomes really disappointing. Making a parallel with the Korean progamers I like the most, I find myself only truly cheering for the likes of savior, july, nada, boxer or nal_ra not because of how fantastically good they've been at some point (I actually missed out on all of them save savior) but )because they've been along for a while and they had the opportunity to display some character, and fans perceived it, well at least formally. No matter how much I like Terran and how goddamned impressive Flash is, I still find myself hesitant to really cheer for him, because I have little idea of the actual person. Idra on the other hand makes it painfully obvious. I would've continued to cheer for him unhinged, if only his loss wasn't made 10 times worse by his attitude. | ||

Yes he is cocky and whatever, but if everyone was like mondragon with the 'omg i dont know if i will be able to beat some nobody, he is very good, im going to try my best!' this would be really boring. | ||

I agree completely, it makes it that much funnier when he loses. BM player thats been on a pro team for a year gets rocked by a foreigner does make it more fun. | ||

I never said he sucked, and i specifically asked for no flaming. | ||
