I got hired at Hollister on the spot and well thought it would be so gay folding clothes(that I don't wear) although there would be plenty of attractive females around my age. I never went in. I felt if I would be seen there by any friends/girlfriends I would have to give up my MEN card. Thou it will give you time to practice on your pitches if you know what I mean, while getting paid for it. Oh god... most people can probably guess what I want to say in response to this post haha. OP, sure why not. Gl with it. Being the only man and dealing with it is a sign of masculinity imo (my current grad class is all female except for me actually)

Tell you truth I might start working at Burlington Coat Factory as a part-time job next week. Its not upscale but I don't hate on nobody's job. I admire people that actually work unlike some slobs that don't do shit but get high and stay home and play sc. Plus folding clothes isn't all that bad when you got some asses/tits to look at. Edit: More like I couldn't do it b/c I already have somewhat of a gay personality(metro) as is and doing this type of job would just add to it.

I've been working in a bakery chain for over 2 years, and the thought didn't even occur to me. I was the only male there too. Well, I guess the uniforms looked kinda retarded, but then again, which work uniform doesn't? If you think you can profit from this kind of work, and you don't get up every morning thinking "Dude, my job sucks ass, hand me a gun so i can shoot myself", then by all means, do it. Good for you. Any job is better than no job, and people who question other people's sexuality are usually just homophobic assholes.

Anyhow, I work at a library myself, which isn't really a male-dominated profession, but I can't say it's been challenging my sexualty yet. I usually spend the day fliriting with the 15-25-range girls who's usually looking for something study-related, it's a great job to work on small talk. Your job's only as gay as your own insecurity of your own sexualty lets it be, tbh.

Well, you know how when you go to another part of the country where they speak with an accent you start talking like them before long? I've noticed something similar when it comes to culture, and the gay culture is no exception. You just can't be folding clothes away and spending your lunch breaks talking about paris hilton without becoming a little gay. I'm not talking sexually-attracted-to-males intercourse gay, I'm mean saying things like "fabulous" and developing a gay walk and a lisp. I don't speak the word metrosexual.

Based on my comment he derived I have a hard time maintaining "deep emotional connections with other members of the human race." I can see how he got that. I was going to do the fabulous joke too but you beat me to it. And I honestly have a slight problem maintaining "deep emotional connections with other members of the human race." since I am an asshole and everyone that dont agree with me are idiots. I really got a liking to the fabulous=gay jokes when I saw Ted Haggard in the movie jesus camp. He used that word before everyone got to know that he enjoyed gay prostitutes. On a sidenote I like h&m clothes, they look decent and fits well but get worn out really fast.

I'd love to work at h&m. Discounted shirts, pants and coats. I'm tired of wearing baggy jeans. But most of all, you get to flirt with GIRLS all day long... Would you rather work at a sausage BBQ? Plus you make friends with all your coworkers who are all young ladies (who have LOTS of attractive girlfriends if you're not interested in them). H&M is the cheap shit in Germany :D I think H&M is one of the better mall brands out there, if not the best in terms of fit, quality and price. I buy shirts there regularly. If I could afford to buy Band of Outsider shirts I would but I have to resort to H&M, Uniqlo, and thrift stores/ebay for discounted quality shirts.

my mom made me get a job. h&m was the only retailer paying over $5/hour so I took it. I'm the only dude in it so I am rather gay. but, i do get to just walk around all day and fold clothes and do laundry and make sandwiches. fabulous, as a failed graphic designer, this is the next best thing. i haven't interacted with females in a while, so this job rules. because of all of this, i believe i am no longer a nerd.

I was in Tokyo when they first opened the H&M in ginza, the line was so long they actually had a line for the line (very common in Japan). They are opening two more this year. But then again, ppl here like uniqlo, which is Japanese (read more colourful) Gap.
