Well best of luck to you. 150 would be amazing to me ^^;;; When i was a freshman and started wrestling i went from like 5'6 143 with 23% body fat to like 135 at 18% body fat and i could see a big difference. It's not so much the amount of weight, but how much muscle you put on, and what kind of weight you lose. You could stay the same weight, but trade out that fat for muscle via working out/eating right and look WAY better then if you just dropped some weight.

hey clazz, looks like we're in the same boat. i'm aiming to lose at least 10 lbs by the end of the semester, although 20 would be ideal.
i hate running so much though -_-;
oh well, i guess a good start is to eat healthier than i have been. gotta cut out the extra snacks -_-

Wow...
As a fellow azn, i'm shocked all you others want to lose weight. I'm 5' 7 and I fluctuate between 150-155lbs. Even though I eat alot, it's hard to put on weight LOl. Different perspective I guess.
My goal is to gain 20+ lbs. 190 would be amazing.
This is impossible though. Even when I eat like a maniac, I probably gain 1lb @ max, and lose it the next day.
edit: I guess it's b/c I don't eat junk food. But then I'd rather stay skinny.

I hated running too till about 2.5 years ago. It's great if you just use it as a way to relax. And then you realize you're cute and in better shape too. You're kinda fucked if you don't do any cardio and want to become better looking though

Lately I've been doing ab workouts and doing a lot of skipping as well as maintaining my diet. I might keep some sort of weekly progress thing to see if I can do it or not. I know it's hard (esp. controlling my diet) but no pain, no gain right? Here is me right now. Currently: 160 lbs Target Goal: 150 lbs Ideal Goal: 140 lbs I'll keep you guys updated!! And I need tips people, thanks!!
You need to bulk up in my opinion, if you lose any more weight you will look smaller than starving kids in Ethiopoia.

Thanks to my body type, I'm eating like a champ and i'm still very skinny :D

Hey dude, good luck on your goal, I'm currently at a 160lb also.
If anyone saw my weight loss blogs. Fitness Update
I was 158lb just before I went to Europe, I'm currently 160-162 haven't weighed myself in about a week.
If you need motivation I will gladly be your silent accountability partner sort of thing. We can make it a competition as to who can reach their goal first. Whether you're bulking or losing weight. Anyone else who wants to get on this would be awesome too, we can make collaborative blogs of all the progress =).
But yeah, I'm getting back into the diet and exercise program come Monday and I'd love to actually have a goal and motivation (competition) to get there. Let me know what you guys think.

@Energies: thanks man part of this was seeing your blog a while but but i finally decided to take initiative and I'm definitely up for it!

Damn, I have been trying to gain weight for so long but it just doesn't work for me. I think I just have a really high metabolism.
I am 5'8" and I weigh 120lbs. I want to gain like at least 15lbs, but no matter how much I eat and stuff, I just can't put on any weight. ~_~

I don't know if you really need to lose weight man, you look pretty thin. When you are reasonably thin like you are now, don't worry so much about the number, think about how in shape you are. Lift some free weights and get ripped.
|
Hey, I'm pretty much the same...
I'm close to 5"11 and I weigh 160 lb, I want to get to 150-155
I hate the North American mentality of bulking up, only abs and biceps look good when "ripped" (okay, maybe not even biceps) -__-;;
Yea I go to the gym and do free-weights, but I only do it so that I can eat whatever I want.

Wtf you want to lose weight at 5'11 160? You're probably already skinny as shit. I'm like 6'1 190 and trying to put on more weight And yes, american girls like ripped abs and biceps. That being said, if thats all someone works out, they're a fucking cunt.
p.s. wtf still losing weight like hell. i'm at like 192 (down 6 pounds since christmas!) despite eating a ton and working out It might be because i can't do squats at my gym at home Need to get back to school for unlimited meal plan and big gym! Wtf my jeans that used to fit perfect now need a belt to hold them up at work T_T

Hi. Just run a lot and shit. But it's winter right now... so... you should try bulking up in the winter. I find that easier. Bulk up in the winter, lose all the fat in the summer. It's easier to lose weight in the summer because you can just run outside and do a lot of cardio. When you run, you should run for more than 30 minutes; an hour is usually good enough. It's very difficult to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time.

I'll make like a weight loss/gain initiate blog later tonight and get people to sign up with their goals and plans, as for now... I don't have to start this until Monday. I'm grabbing a beer.
