just a quick glance and their writers don't seem to know much about the scene/game
WorldCommunist8: ... Jaedong seems burnt out, Flash got egotistical, July came back for a quick 15 minutes of fame, and Stork finally got it together. Really, I don't understand all the credit to Leta. He did have help in getting OGN to the Proleague result it achieved in Luxury, and he hasn't been good enough in the Starleagues either.
KnightofNi: Note that the only Zerg winner in 2008 (July!!) played on a nice set of Zerg maps, including the only definitively ZvP favored map of the year, Hwarangdo.
MrBitter: Stork's OSL run was, in every sense of the word, amazing. He should not have gotten through any of his groups. When he did, he should have gotten destroyed in the final. But he held strong and brought home his first long awaited, and much deserved, OSL title.
... a good laugh

It's not as funny when you expect it though.

"jaedong seems burnt out"
????????????

I don't pay attention to the pro-scene very much, but Mr.Bitter's comments were more or less correct, no? Stork had a reputation of choking and losing, so weren't most people expecting that?

wtf @ stork should have being destroyed in the finals.
|
ohgod, whenever I see KnightofNi's name I cringe. I suppose I have nothing against the guy personally, but whenever he obnoxiously laughed into his mic during that OSL/MSL finals live cast, (I forget which one it was,) my ears felt like they were going to bleed.
edit: and yeah, all of those comments are prettymuch '-somewhat but not all the way-' correct. Jaedong and Flash were both slightly slumping for a very short while and everyone expected Stork to choke, but really, these comments are quite wrong considering they're 'looking back at 08' as a whole.

yeah, but in a group of backho, sea, fantasy and himself he's the clear favorite. And his PvP is generally considered to be better than Bisu's (at least, when this happened it was, which was before Bisu's MSL victory).
Against Best he was the underdog.
I think against Fantasy a lot of people would have liked him to lose, but he's a much better player than Fantasy and, except for the fact that it was a starleague final, should have easily taken the series (he almost did, then made it really close)

stork should have gotten destroyed by fantasy?
ahashahashashahahahahahahahahaahhaha
all of those were pretty funny by the way

Normally im neutral in the tl/sc2gg thing i even watch cholera/diggity/moletrap commentaries, but these comments are just pathetic and show a complete lack of proscene sc knowledge.
WorldCommunist8: You heavily exaggerated Jaedongs mini slump, July currently is 9-4 in proleague and still in the osl, Stork always had it together just fails in finals, Leta is the proleague mvp with a rediculous amount of wins i dont know offhand.
KnightofNi: Andromeda says hai
MrBitter: Stork was favored in alot of his OSL matches if not all and heavily favored in the finals against Fantasy.

some silly comments... They're no TL but I have nothing against them, I can weed out the true from the untrue enough to enjoy some of the content that they provide... Would be nice if they didn't say things such as those above though, their content would be much better....

Completely agreed besides statements like these i do enjoy Sc2gg, so much potential but they got some fat to trim.

Jaedong is not burned out, Commie8, you are. Flash is NOT egotistical, the reason he 14CCs often (fine, always) is because late game macro and control is what he does best, so he is trying to force the game into a macro-based one. Leta has like the 2nd or 3rd best win % in 2008. Please, do your research before you speak.
But overall, these were pretty funny.Reminded me of Sarah Palin speaking about dinosaurs.

I thought some of it was correct, though being a Jaedong fan I was disappointed by their under-acknowledgement of Jaedong's dominance in '08. I really enjoy some of their writeups like Proleague Weekly and Face-Off(discontinued) and watch their commentaries because Korean gets tedious after awhile and they're pretty exciting most of the time.

uhhhh
unless the context was "who can say the dumbest shit about progaming" I really don't think that's necessary lol

Logically he shouldn't be the underdog in any scenario he goes into. The guy made it sound like he was facing an opponent who was far superior to him, which was not the case.

I'm sure he meant that Stork often chokes in the finals.
