Or maybe it's cold so they stay alert or something.

The players seems to wear multiple layers and quite often, they rub hands early game and blow on them to warm up. When I play, cold hands affect me greatly so I feel sad for them.

I always thought it was cold in the booths otherwise they wouldn't look like they are about to go on an antarctic expedition.

I don't believe they require the jackets for warming as it's certainly hot in the playing hall with hundreds of people.

It's more likely they keep the booths at a fairly normal temperature but the progamers feel that they would perform better if their body temperature was higher, so they wear heavy clothing.

Shouldn't the importance of the game be enough to get you to be alert?

I mean people don't do that unless they are cold. I heard Tasteless say that it's to keep the circulation going in the hand which in reality is very important. Playing with cold hands is hard.

This has a variety of innuendos that I don't want to point out, though they are probably extremely obvious. Besides that: I would assume the indoors ones are pretty warm. They have hundreds of people screaming, and rooms with a lot of people in them tend to get pretty hot. Some are outside though, and they could get cold. I can't think of any recent specific cases though, except maybe for FBH's ceremony where he takes off his shirt and runs outside, etc.

No, I do this if it's to the point where it really affects my game. Also, when I play cs, because my hands shivering means my aim's gone (not that it is great, maybe I'll get some lucky headshots).

Idk, I do that too (the blowing on/rubbing the hands thing) and I am usually plenty warm when I play, so I think it is just a nervousness/comfort thing.

It was more than hot enough for him to go for a swim after dark. Even myself, Peanut and my Korean friend went for a paddle before the finals began because it was so scorching at Kwang Ahn Li beach.

Tasteless has said it's relatively warm in there booths and they also wear there coats and such. Cold hands are much slower then warm ones, and it's more comfortable to play with a high body temp

I always thought it was cold in the booths otherwise they wouldn't look like they are about to go on an antarctic expedition. There's not that much heavy thinking involved, staying around 17 degrees is useful for when you're following lectures and such but not at sc, when your hands get cold you can't play for shit and your attention isn't likely to wander off while playing sc because you always feel a certain pressure.

Form a cup with them, blow into that cup, and then rub them together...repeat until warm. The pro's do it because it works.
